Lords of the Fallen (2023)

How to Farm Plucked Eyeballs in Lords of the Fallen

By
Shane Williams

There are lots of NPCs scattered around the world of Mournstead and some can sell usual items. But as you may expect they’ll require some kind of currency and one of which is Plucked Eyeballs. Read below to find out how to obtain them and what they are used for!

Interact with the Lanterns to avenge fallen players.

Where To Get Plucked Eyeballs in Lords of the Fallen

Whilst you’re slowly progressing through a variety of areas on your playthrough you’ll sometimes come across a glowing white lantern that’s sitting amongst some red butterflies. This indicates that another online player has previously been killed by an enemy in this area, so it’s your job to avenge them for a nice payment of three Plucked Eyeballs. To do this, you’ll want to interact with the lantern and then follow the butterflies to the enemy in question and take it out.

There isn’t a particular area to farm these, as it depends on where other players are dying and that can be anywhere in the game, but you can try visiting areas that are exceptionally more difficult, such as the Pilgrim’s or Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters as you’re more likely to come across the lanterns here. Additionally, these lanterns don’t stand out, so you’ll want to avoid sprinting through areas and pay close attention to your surroundings if you want to have an easier time finding them.

What Can You Buy With Plucked Eyeballs in Lords of the Fallen?

(1 of 2) You can find the Shrine of the Putrid Mother near Molhu.

You can find the Shrine of the Putrid Mother near Molhu. (left), There are three tiers of rewards. (right)

As mentioned above, Plucked Eyeballs are a currency you can use at the Shrine of the Putrid Mother and she is found in the main hub of the game, Skyrest. To get here you’ll need to progress through the game until you’ve worked your way through Redcopse Village and defeat the first boss Pieta. When you arrive at Skyrest, enter Umbral and head up the stairs in the back left corner to find the NPC Molhu, then to the left of him you’ll find the Shrine of the Putrid Mother which you can interact with to donate your hard earned eyeballs.

There is a progression bar at the bottom of the screen and the entire Lords of the Fallen community works together to increase this, so your personal contribution won’t make a noticeable difference. Once the community has contributed enough Plucked Eyeballs you’ll start unlocking the other reward tiers which will yield better rewards.
