Lords of the Fallen (2023)

Where To Find Gerlinde's Tablets in Lords of the Fallen

By
Craig Robinson

When you rescue the blacksmith from the depths of the Bell area of Pilgrim’s Perch, you will find her back in your safe hub in the Skyreach. When you talk to her, she will give you a mission to find three tablets scattered across the game. While the idea of finding three specific items on your travels in this vast world is daunting, we shall make the steps to getting them easier. Below is where to find all the tablet locations in Lords of the Fallen.

All Tablet Locations in Lords of the Fallen

(1 of 3) The first tablet location in Lords of the Fallen is in the Gorge, just above the dog resting spot at the end of the cave.

To summarize, you can find the three tablet locations as follows:

  1. Cracked Rune Tablet: Inside the Fitzroy Gorge. Progress through the Fitzroy Gorge from the end of the Fen region. Move your way through the mountain pass and into the cave system. Partway into the cave system, you shall approach an area with lots of scaffolding, and the bottom is guarded by a few guard dogs. Find the route that takes you to the right of it, as you can find an NPC down there for the first time. You will also find an item pick-up on a ledge overlooking the dogs, containing the Cracked Rune Tablet.

  2. Chipped Rune Tablet: The next one you will find is in the Calrath City Blacksmith’s area. When you venture through Calrath Slums, you will eventually come to the region’s end boss. After it is defeated, an archway on the top lefthand side from the entrance will open, allowing you to venture into the Blacksmithing industry part of the city. Follow the route along the pathway, taking you through the streets, over the fountain area, and then up a round pathway. Follow it through, avoid the Ravager, and jump into a cracked roof opening. Go inside that building, then loot the fireplace guarded by one of the fiery covenant enemies and bell mages to get the next tablet.

  3. Rune Tablet: The final tablet location in Lords of the Fallen is on the main level of the Tower of Penance. You will find a chest with a strange black glow at the far back of the Tower of Penance’s main floor.

Note that Fitzroy’s Gorge is the third major area in the campaign progression. You visit this location after dealing with the Fen, which comes after Pilgrim’s Perch. Calrath is then after the Gorge area. The Tower of Penance is much later, after you’ve disabled two of the beacons, and are closing in on your third beacon.

It is worth noting that the Tablets appear linked to the progression of Gerlinde’s services. The first one enables you to start adding runes to your weapons. Meanwhile, the second tablet seems to improve her items for sale. When you get a tablet, make sure to turn it over to her as soon as possible.

Should You Give the Tablets to Sparky or Gerlinde?

Should you give the final tablet to Sparky or Gerlinde?

When you finally arrive with the third tablet. You get a choice to give the tablets to Sparky instead. This is what happens depending on the decision you make:

  • Give Sparky the Tablet: If you give Sparky the tablet, he will give you the knowledge of crafting at each of the Vestiges you can visit. However, Gerlinde is rather upset, so, she stays in your Hub as a trader. However, she triples her prices of stock items. Her crafting prices are unaffected, however.

We are currently running a second save to verify what happens if you give Gerlinde the rune, so check back soon. There’s no save scumming in this game, sadly.

This concludes the Tablet locations guide in Lords of the Fallen. You now know where the tablet locations are, and the outcomes of the choice at the end of the quest!
