Description
The Plesioth is a large wyvern that can be found near large bodies of water. Despite its huge wings, Plesioth doesn’t appear to fly, but is instead an adept swimmer and a dangerous foe underwater. On land, Plesioth shouldn’t be underestimated either due to its large size and powerful aqua jet.

Key Attacks
Body Slam - The Plesioth turns side on then rams its whole body towards the Hunter. This attack has a massive danger zone.
Slither - The Plesioth lays itself on the ground and then slides forward. This is also used to return to the water, so make sure you’ve rolled away in advance.
Water Stream - The Plesioth opens its fin and lowers its head launching a massive burst of water at the hunter (this is also used from the water if a hunter remains on the shore).
Backflip - A favourite of the Plesioth when it is underwater, it flicks its tail upwards at the Hunter while doing a backflip. You can see this attack early as the Plesioth moves its tail into position, so try and move early.
Recommended Strategy
As with other Wyverns it’s a good idea to get under the Plesioth and attack its legs, but always move away because the Plesioth has a number of attacks that can easily wipe you away from such a position. Simply move close, hit him a few times and then roll away.
As long as you stay in close proximity to the Plesioth then his projectile attacks won’t be a problem, so try and give chase if he moves away and especially if he dives into the water.
When submerged it’s a good idea to stay abreast of the Plesioth, approaching from a side-on angle so that his Water Beams don’t catch you completely off guard. As with all water monsters the Plesioth becomes fast underwater, so movement and cautious attacks become paramount.
