Fighter Thrall Locations and Uses - Conan Exiles

By
Jessica Dillon

Fighter Thralls are an important part of playing Conan Exiles. These thralls are able to pack a punch to fend off enemies from your base or to help you take on bosses. Unlike other Thralls, where you simply take a small cut to production speed by going with lower tiers, having the strongest Fighters is a must. Lower-tiered Fighters won’t do well during the mid and late game, so learning where to get strong NPCs is a must. The guide below goes over everything you need to know about finding and using Fighter Thralls in Conan Exiles.

What is a Fighter Thrall and How to Level Them

A Fighter Thrall is a close-range combat NPC that can guard your base or follow you into battle. You can have a single NPC follow you at once, along with a single pet. These Thralls can be found at camps around the map. To obtain one, you must knock them out with a blunt weapon, such as a "Truncheon" iconTruncheon, tie them up with bindings, such as Fiber Bindings, to carry back to your base, and then break with a Wheel of Pain which you unlock at level ten. A complete guide on the process of obtaining Thralls can be found here.

Once your Thrall is broken, you can give them basic commands. This is especially important with Fighters as you can command them to fight the way you want and even have them focus on protecting your character. You can also choose how closely your NPC follows you, what types of attacks they are using, and even set emotes. Below their name, you can see what your Thrall is set to do and whether they are following you or not.

All Combat Thralls start at level one and can be leveled up to level 20. Each Fighter Thrall will have different starting stats, and they can gain levels by killing enemies or being near you when you kill an enemy. The higher tiered your Thrall is, the longer it will take to level them up. What stats are leveled is left up to RNG, but you can check your Thralls stat page to find out which ones are likely to increase with the next level. Only the Thrall that is actively following you will level. If you wish to level multiple Thralls, then you need to take them out with you one at a time. If you are in a clan, then each player can have their own Thrall.

Those simply defending your base will not level. At levels 10, 15, and 20, they will gain a bonus attribute. These are randomized and can be checked from the Fighters stat page. Keep in mind that different Thralls also have set multipliers. For example, Dafari Cannibals have the highest melee damage multiplier at around 3.12%. In our playthrough, it took several hours to level our Fighter up to level ten. You will also be able to equip your Thrall with the armor and weapons of your choosing to bolster their abilities in battle further.

In addition, you can also give your fighters food to grant them bonuses like Gruel for strength. Here is a breakdown of what each food does for your Fighter Thrall. The best foods to use are Gruel, which gives a 14% strength boost, Cooked Pork Rinds, which gives a 7% Strength boost and a 25% damage boost, and Grilled Steak, which gives a 14% vitality boost. Foods also act as a healing item for Thralls, so make sure to keep some in their inventory at all times when traveling.

Best Fighter Thralls

Since leveling is left up to RNG, you will want to find Fighter Thralls with good starting stats to ensure that you have a strong follower. For this, you will want to hunt for Tier III or Tier IV Fighters. These are typically the strongest fighters in the game, and they won’t go down without dealing serious damage to your characters. Out of the named Tier IV NPCs, Dalinsia is currently the best choice. We recommend these Thralls to higher-level players. In addition, you will need to hold them off long enough to knock them out, so be sure you have armor that can take a hit and plenty of healing items on you. We also recommend you take out any nearby enemies before engaging in this fight. Below is a list of the best Fighter Thralls you can get and where to find them.

In addition to this Treasure Seekers, which can be found in "Sepermeru" iconSepermeru and The "Unnamed City" iconUnnamed City on the Exiled Lands map, are also a good choice as they have high health. Dafari fighters are also a safe bet, as are Accursed fighters if you are playing on the Isle of Siptah map. Keep in mind that if you have just started the game, it may be best to go with a low-level Fighter just to tide you over until you level up enough to get a higher-level Thrall on your side. Please keep in mind that the higher tiered the Thrall, the longer it will take to break them. It takes around 26 real-world hours to break a Tier IV thrall and six and a half hours to break a Tier III Thrall. This can be sped up a bit by placing a Taskmaster at your Wheel of Pain. The sections below contain areas where you can find lower-level thralls.

Exiled Lands Fighter Locations

If you are looking to find standard Fighter Thralls to get you started, then you will be glad to know that they are a regular spawn at most camps. You will be able to find low-tier fighters at the NPC camps near where the map originally spawns you. The table below lists a few places where Fighter Thralls are guaranteed to spawn.

Isle of Siptah Fighter Locations in Conan Exiles

Like in the Exiled Lands, Fighter Thralls are quite common and can be found all over the map. The table below lists a few areas where Fighter Thralls are guaranteed to spawn.
