Dry Wood isn’t something that you can find lying around out in the wilds until later in the game. It’s an item that you will need to craft once you have the needed crafting station if you need it early on. How to Make Dry Wood in Conan Exiles¶
Dry Wood can be made by placing 
Wood on a Dryer. This will also give you 
Resin. The Dryer can be found under the cooking section of your Knowledge menu, as it is primarily used for food. Using the Dryer is the best way to mass-produce dry wood, especially since the recipe that requires it will also need Resin to craft. If you want to do a bit of exploring, though, then it can also be found in the wild. This is harvested from the trees around the desert. They are easy to spot, as they look shriveled up and are white in color. This area can be a bit rough to explore until you get some better tools. You should also note that the desert area will cause your heat meter to increase.
What Is Dry Wood Used for in Conan Exiles?¶
Dry Wood can be used to fuel crafting stations that use fire. It burns 38 seconds more than regular wood, giving you 48 seconds of burn time per piece of Dry Wood. Aside from being a good fuel, Dry Wood is used to make 
Insulated Wood. This recipe calls for one piece of Dry Wood and two Resin per piece made. While this may seem unimportant at first, Insulated Wood is used in dozens of projects, from housing to building Precision level crafting areas, making Dry Wood one of the most important resources you can make early on.
