This is one of three hidden Shrines in the Iki Island Expansion for Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut. These Shrines focus on solving a hidden riddle to obtain an armor skin based on other PlayStation titles with the Shrine of Ash one being a God of War skin.
The God of War armor can be obtained at the Shrine of Ash.
How to find the God of War Armor¶
There are three Shrines on Iki Island that are well hidden and feature a riddle that you must solve, this particular Shrine focuses on obtaining the God of War Armor. Before you set off to locate this Shrine, ensure that you have the Sakai Clan Armor, obtained by completing the Ghosts from the Past Main Tale in Act II. With that in hand, travel to Yahata Forest on the east of Iki ISland and you’ll find this Shrine. Head on over to it and you’ll find a riddle that says the follow:
In fall, a tree fruits
which grows from seed to sapling,
A stranger and son.
Boy, honor your father’s fight
Show him the strength of your blade.
The Shrine of Ash can be found in Yahata Forest
wear the Sakai Clan Armor and draw your sword to obtain the Armor.
You’ll need to solve this riddle if you with to obtain the God of War armor skin. In order to solve this, you’ll need to equip the Sakai Clan Armor mentioned above and then, standing in front of the statue, swipe the Touchpad to the right to draw Jin’s Katana, in doing so, “honoring your father”. This will trigger a scene in which you’ll obtain the Helm of War, Spartan and the Ghost of Sparta cosmetics.
