Troubled Waters

By
Ben Chard

This is a Side Tale in the Iki Island Expansion for Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut. These are completely optional but if you’re aiming for all Trophies, must be completed towards that goal.

Troubled Waters is a Side Tale on Iki Island.

Escape the hwacha fire on the beach

There are two ways to begin this Tale, the first is to here a rumor from someone at an encampment (especially the liberated Cloud Forest Temple) or to head to the location of the wreckage itself. Regardless of the route you take, make your way to the east of Iki Island, northeast of Yahata Forest and you’ll find a shipwreck on the coast.

Head on over to it and examine it, then make your way to the nearby survivor to begin the Tale, at which point you’ll find yourself under attack from a hwacha. Begin by heading along the coast to your right, dispatching the Archers that have ambushed at the same time. Look to the ground for a marker displaying where the hwacha will fire and ensure that you don’t stand in it. Keep heading this way and you’ll reach some higher land and escape the hwacha firing upon you.

(1 of 4) Head to the shipwreck in Yahata Forest to begin this Tale

Free from the hwacha, Jin will decide to investigate the village to the south so mount up and ride directly south to reach Thieves Rest Village. Head inside and speak to the villagers to learn of the smoldering house, head over to it and examine the points of interest to learn someone was living there and Sugi will reveal herself. Follow her once you hear the commotion and you’ll be attacked by a group of Mongols, begin by using Wrath of the Dance and then use Sticky Bombs to finish them off. Once the battle’s over, follow Sugi and she’ll speak with you about Yamaneko and asks you to meet her at an old fishing village to the west, ending this Tale.
