There are many creatures and gathering spots that are hard to come by in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. The Legendary Divine Log is one such item, as it is only found in Ginormosia and unless you take advantage of the Area Rank system, then you will never find it. The Legendary God Tree, which you have to cut down to get the item, can spawn in three different regions: Wingtip Valley, Shroomhaven, and Pettlewing Woods. If you wish to learn more, check out the rest of the page below.
The Divine Log is gotten from this legendary event involving the God Tree.
Where to Find the Legendary Divine Log¶
Before you can think about going after the Divine Log, you’ll have to put in a little work first. Looking at the opening paragraph, you can see that the God Tree can spawn in three different regions: Wingtip Valley, Shroomhaven, and Pettlewing Woods. So, you can go to each of these zones first and visit the tower to remove the fog, if you haven’t already. After this, it’s time to work on accruing points in them. You can receive points for opening chests, defeating enemies and discovering any settlements/campfires.
By far, the quickest way to get points is by doing the events in the regions, which are the red markers. Typically, completing them quickly enough will reward you with 100 points, or in the case of some events, 200 points. Considering you need 100 points to reach Rank 2 and 1,000 points to reach Rank 3, this won’t take long at all. Thankfully, Rank 3 is all that’s needed to spawn the God Tree, and you can respawn events by going to any tower and switching Area Ranks.

Since the God Tree appears in three different regions, you’ll need to keep track of the blue event marker, which signifies a legendary event. For Pettlewing Woods, the tree appears southeast of the tower, at the end of the land, right next to the water. In Shroomhaven, it will show up in the alcove just southeast of the Simian Settlement. Lastly, in Wingtip Valley, the tree will show up on the large island south of the tower. Remember you can continually refresh all of the regions by changing Area Ranks.
Best Way to Chop the Legendary God Tree¶
As with all of the boss-type gathering spots, there are certain things you can do to make it easier on yourself. First and foremost, get some Woodcutter Buddies and make sure they’re properly outfitted with a good axe. It also helps that they’re sufficiently leveled, too, since the God Tree is level 40 at its lowest (Rank 1). This also extends to your own character, too, who should have the best axe available equipped, as well as some appropriate skills. Naturally, you want the charged normal attack, and the special skill is a nice finisher to everything, too.
When you finally arrive at the God Tree, you’ll want to search for the Sweet Spot right away. This enables you to get the most out of your damage, but for all of the boss-type gatherable spots, the Sweet Spot can change positions after you hit it enough. It’s probably a good idea to keep using the charged attacks to damage it, although there is always the chance that your SP will run low. Should this happen, that’s why the Woodcutter Buddies are there, to keep things rolling while you relax to try and regain some SP.

Note that you cannot stop the minigame to use a SP Potion, as this will completely refill the health, so it’s all in one go or nothing at all. If you feel like you’re not getting close at all, leave and return more powerful later. It doesn’t seem like there’s much need to get an Excellent on these legendary gathering spots, but you should save your special skill until you have a little bit of health left on the tree.
If all goes well, you’ll chop down the Legendary God Tree and be rewarded with one or two pieces of Legendary Divine Log. Should you plan on crafting the legendary recipes, then you’ll need a lot of this material.
