This item is considred a light snack and a natural resource, as it is used in a wide variety of crafting items and meals.

Algae is a commonly sourced item you can find like moss in the side of aquatic plants. The most common area to access this is via the Koi pond and its depths.

You can craft the following recipes by either placing the Algae in a Cookery, Smoothie Station or crafting out in the world:

Antlion Locations

A sweet secretion from aphids that restores a small amount of hunger and thirst.

Often found left by Aphids when they’re near Clovers, this sweet sticky substance is often used in making Smoothies. When you’re not using it in one of your favorite beverages, you can consume it to restore a small portion of your hunger, thirst, and health.

You can find Aphid Honeydew near Clovers in the yard. When an Aphid goes near them, they often leave behind some honeydew.

When you place the Aphid Honeydew in a Smoothie Station with other ingredients you can craft the following recipes:

Dried aphid meat that has been preserved as jerky. No longer at risk of spoiling.

Hanged and dried on the Jerky Rack, Aphid Jerky gives you all the nutrition of a regular Aphid, but can’t spoil due to the drying process. This chewy piece of meat will keep your belly full for longer as it replenished approximately 20% of your hunger gauge.

This resource can only be made by adding Raw Aphid Meat to a Jerky Rack. You can find Raw Aphid Meat by collecting it from a defeated aphid. Aphids can be found almost anywhere in the yard, although you’ll have a better chance of finding them around the Grasslands.

The Berry Chunks is a useful resource primarily used in the creation of Berry Leather. As Berry Leather is required for a lot of higher end recipes, this makes Berry Chunks just as important.

Predominantly hanging in berries from the branches in, and around the Hedge which is situated on the eastern side of the yard. Attacking the Berry will yield approximately four chunks.

Once you’ve obtained some Berry Chunks, place them in either the Workbench, Cookery, Smoothie Station, or the Jerky Rack to craft the following recipes:

Berry Locations

A ripe black ant egg that can hatch if left to sit. Keep insect eggs from hatching by destroying them at the source or trashing them once picked up.

The Black Ant Eggs are laid by the Black Worker Ants who can be found in the Black Anthill. These ripe eggs have a timer that will spawn a Black Worker Ant or even a Black Soldier Ant, although that happens less frequently when the timer is up.

The egg can be picked up, but be warned that the timer will still count down, and spawn one of the creatures mentioned above. You can stop them from spawning by destroying the egg before the timer is up.

You can find Black Ant Eggs in the Black Anthill. The Black Worker Ants will only lay more eggs when their population gets dangerously low. If you kill most of the ants in their nest they will give you a better chance of them laying any eggs.

Once you have a Black Ant Egg, you can place it in a Cookery with the following materials to craft the following Omelant recipe:

This resource is primarily used in the creation of Black Ant Armor, and Tools.

As the head is naturally a drop from either the Black Worker Ant, and the Black Soldier Ant you’ll need to defeat them to obtain the drop. The best place to find Black Ants is at the Black Anthill Descent or the Black Anthill Lab. They can be found elsewhere, but these two places are the best locations.

Once you’ve obtained a Black Ant Head, place it on a Workbench to craft the following recipes:

The easiest place to come across the Black Ants are the Black Anthill, which is found in the Backyard area of the map. Players can find entrances to the Black Anthill in the Trash Heap area of the map, alongside the Sandbox. Near these areas, players will also find Black Worker Ants. Both the Black Worker and Soldier Ants will have a chance to drop Black Ant Parts, alongside the Mandables and Heads.

Once you have the Black Ant Parts, you can place them on a Workbench to craft the following recipes:

The easiest place to come across the Black Ants are the Black Anthill, which is found in the Backyard area of the map. As it’s a drop from the Black Ox Beetle, you’ll need to defeat them to obtain the material. You can find Black Ox Beetles in the upper portion of the yard, especially near the Lawnmower in the northeast. Also, you can find some near the Termite Nest to the west of the yard.

Once you have obtained the Black Ox Horn, you can place them on a Workbench to craft the following recipes:

This resource is a drop from the legendary Black Widow. As it’s a drop, you’ll need to defeat this hideous creature to obtain its parts.

You can find the Black Widow in four locations:

• On the path that connects to the Undershed Lab
• The cave under the Toolbox
• Under a pile of stones in a lair within the Moldroc Highlands, south of Castle Moldroc
• In the Black Widow Lair which is hidden behind a cracked wall southeast of the Undershed Deck

A nugget that seems useful for one thing: upograding armor.

This is a tier one upgrading item that you will need to mine if you intend to upgrade your gear through the early levels.

The Brittle Marble Shards are fairly rare, and are often found in more diffiuclt areas of the mpa for your current difficulty setting. The examples of these are often found in the Anthills, caves and other locations around the map.

The list of locations we are aware of are as follows:

• Red Anthill - Found slightly to the northwest of the first field station you encounter.
• Pond Lab - It is one of many itmes you can find in the storage area. Players will visit this fairly early on as part of their lab investigations.
• Four leaf clover cave - An underwater cave you can swim through near the swampy are in the south east of the greasslands.
• Hamster cave - Near the rake and just before the haze area.
• Old Anthill - Near the Oak Tree

Upon finding one, you will need to equip a tier one hammer at minimum and hit the Marble untill it shatters into pieces for you to loot. You can then turn them into Brittle Platings or use in the construction of the smithing station.

• A nugget that seems useful for one thing: upgrading weapons.

This is typically an item you can mine that allows the player to use items in the Smithing Station, along with constructing the Brittle Whetstone.

This item is a fairly rare find, but typically is visible in the harder to reach portions of the tier 1 map areas. The examples of these include the Red Anthill, along with the storage rooms of early game labs.

Upon finding a block of the Brittle Quartzite, you will need to equip a tier one hammer at minimum and begin to hit the rock until it breaks. You will then be able to loot the Brittle Quartzite Shards.

Examples of areas where you can find Brittle Quartzite shards in the grasslands area are:

• Hamster cave
• Red Anthill
• Old Anthill (near the oak tree lab)
• Larva cave

These are also the most common you’ll find in some early game lab storage areas, and you can also get more of these by hitting higher tier quartzite rocks too.

An unidentifiable piece of the demonic mother spider.

This item is typically associated with several end game T3 items, including the Mask of the Mother Demon, Club of the Mother Demon, Orchid Mantis Kebab, and the Broodmother Trophy.

Players will find the Broodmother demonic spider is deep inside the spider lair found in the Hedge at the bottom right corner of the map. Players will need to venture into the lair, and place a Broodmother BLT on the egg secs within the boss room itself. To unlock the Broodmother BLT, players will need to complete the Hedge Lab and acquire the recipe, before being able to craft it in a base oven.

Broodmother Location

The Broodmother Fang is an extrmely dangerous and deadly fang o the demonic mother spider.

This item is a reagent required for two tier three end game iems that your character can equip, which are the Mask of the Mother Demon and the Club of the Mother Demon.

Players will need to head to the Hedge biome in the bottom right of the map. From there, they will need to place a Broodmother BLT deep inside the spider lair, which is a recipe you acquire from the Hedge lab and then cook from an oven in your base. Players will then defeat the Broodmother, and be able to loot the Broodmother Fang, along with the Venom and Chunk from the boss.

Broodmother Location

Shockingly potent venom from the demonic mother spider. This item is exclusively used to craft the Club of the Mother Demon as of the v1.0 launch.

To get your hands on the Broodmother Venom, players will need to defeat the Broodmother boss. The Broodmother is located deep within the Hedge, which is a biome found towards the very bottom right of the map. In order to fight the boss, you will need to find yourself the Broodmother BLT recipe from the Hedge Lab and then create it using an oven in your base. You can then place it in the eggs at the very back of the lair, and the boss should descend from its web and enter combat with you.

Broodmother Location

Soft, wet dirt clumps that hold form.

This Tier I resource is predominantly used in the creation of base building, and production recipes, although it has many other uses.

Clay is derived from clay deposits which can be found all over the yard. If you have access to the Flooded Zone, that’ll be your best bet to find the deposits. Other places that you can find it is the Pond, and all its connecting areas, Grasslands, Black Anthill, and the Woodpile.

To procure clay from its deposits, you’ll need to have access to an Acorn Shovel which can be crafted using the following recipe:

A wisp of a crow’s jet black feather. A dark omen from the harbinger of death that soars above.

These Tier II resources are predominantly used in the creation of archery-based recipes such as the Crow Crossbow, and the Marksman’s Cap, although it has other uses as well.

This resource isn’t like other resources due to them dropping from the large black crow that soars above the yard. If you pay attention to where the crow flies, you’ll notice that it can randomly drop feathers. If you head over to where it dropped, you’ll be able to add it to your inventory. You can also find some feathers at the Black Anthill, Picnic Table as well as in buried treasures.

Crow Feather Piece Locations

A fluffy puff of dandelion stuff. Could be used to drift down from great heights.

The Dandelion Tuft is a special resource that can be used to float down with zero damage from high altitudes. When the Hangtime meter of the item runs out the dandelion will run out and the player will fall. It is currently the only way to glide in the game.

2023 update

Dandelions no longer need to be equipped, and players no longer have to decide between equipping a tuft or a trinket. Instead, tufts are single-use items with no durability. To balance this change, tufts can be stacked, and dandelions yield more tufts when chopped down.

Dandelion Tufts can be harvested from Dandelions. They can be chopped down using a Tier II chopping weapon. Dandelions will attract Bees looking to harvest their pollen.

• Upper Grasslands Map Marker

An ambiguous chunk of an aquatic spider.

This Tier II resource is primarily used in the creation of water-based tools such as the Bone Dagger, and the Bone Trident.

This resource is a drop from the Diving Bell Spider that lives in the Koi Pond in the center of the yard. As it is a drop, you’ll need to defeat the Diving Bell Spider to loot the chunks.

The Diving Bell Spiders are on a similar difficulty level to the Orb Weavers so come prepared when fighting them. It’s recommended to bring at least a Tier II weapon like the Spider Fang Dagger, or Stinger Spear. Note: As you’ll be fighting them in the water, you’ll only be able to use Daggers or Spears.

Once you’ve looted those lovely spider chunks, you can place them on a Workbench to craft the following recipes:

The Dry Grass Chunks resource is derived from Dry Grass. You’ll obtain chunks by chopping down the strands of Dry Grass scattered around the yard. This resource is primarily used in the creation of Torches, Grub Armor set, and furniture.

Although you can find Dry Grass throughout the yard, the best place to look for it is around the Haze area situated in the southwest of the yard, east of the Sandpit. You’ll need a chopping tool to break down the strands of Dry Grass into Chunks with each strand giving you approximately 3-4 chunks.

When you have picked up some dry grass chunks you can use them in a variety of recipes including, but not limited to the following recipes:

You can typically find Dust Mites in the Undershed area of the map, in the northwest of the yard. Defeat them to collect their materials from them.

Once you’ve obtained some Dust Mite Fuzz, you can create a variety of recipes which is including, but not limited to the following recipes:

Dust Mite Locations

A hydrophobic strip useful for binding things used in water. Cut from a tall, wispy eelgrass weed reaching up from the bottom of the pond.

This resource is primarily used in the creation of the Koi Armor Set as well as other underwater equipment such as the Bubble Helmet or the Gill Tube. It can also be ground into Plant Fiber by placing it in a Grinder should you be low on it.

You can find Eelgrass Strands in, and around the Koi Pond which can be found in the central area of the yard, especially the entrances into the Pond Depths. As these are commonly found in shallow water, you’ll need to use a dagger to gather them.

Once you have some Eelgrass Strands, you can craft, but not limited to the following recipes:

A hunk of EverChar everburning charcoal. Stays piping hot and is perfect for constructing an oven.

The EverChar Coal Chunks are primarily used in the creation of the powerful Spicy Coaltana, and the useful EverChar Torch.

Unlike other resources, this can only be found in one location, the Barbecue. Make sure you come equipped with extreme Sizzle Protection as the harvestable nodes are surrounded by even larger Coal Chunks that give off a powerful Sizzle effect stronger than the Sandbox.

We recommend equipping a full set of the Antlion Armor Set as this has Sizzle Protection. This can be obtained by defeating Antlions in the Sandpit, and using their drops to craft it. You may also want to have the Fresh Defense Mutation as that can reduce Sizzle Rate up to 75% when fully upgraded. If that still isn’t enough, taking a quick bite of a Quesadillantlion will also give you some protection. Note, that even with all this Sizzle Protection, you’ll still be hurt if you take too long harvesting the EverChar Coal Chunks, so be hasty about it.

Not much to say about this resource other than it’s a decapitated head from a Fire Ant. The Fire Ant Head is primarily used in the creation of the Fire Ant Shield, and the Fire Ant Helmet.

Naturally you’ll find the Fire Ant Heads as a drop from defeating either Fire Worker Ants or Fire Soldier Ants. The best place to find Fire Ants is at the Fire Anthill located in the northeast of the Upper Grasslands. Other places to find them would be both the Lawnmower MIX.R and the Upper Grasslands MIX.R, and the Undershed.

You can find Fresh Apple Bits all over the yard especially the Picnic Table, Sandpit, and the Grasslands. To gather them, you’ll need to have a Tier II Axe on hand to chop up any apples that you find.

A moist n’ meaty morsel of a Get N’ Jet Billy Hog. Quick Billy’s signature 50 cent roller grill hot dogs are never fresh, but always fine.

These Billy Hogs are primarily used as a tasty snack to sate your appetite. The fresh variant will replenish your hunger gauge by 15%. When you’re not snacking on them, they can be used in a meal or a smoothie.

You can find Fresh Billy Hog Bites by gathering them from Billy Hog resource nodes. Billy Hogs share a spawn with other large foods, so they may not always be there. Your best bet to find them is at the Picnic Table, on the plates. The Sandpit also has two spawns, one in the northeast corner, and one in the southeast. Finally, you could check the plate which sits on the deck at the Undershed.

The best place to find these creatures is in the Haze/Haze Lab which is situated in the southwest of the yard. You can also find them in other places such as the Flower Bed, Grasslands, Oak Hill, and the Undershed, but the Haze area will be your best bet.

The Glow Goo is a material resource primarily used to craft the Firefly Head Lamp, although there are a couple more recipes that you can craft with it.

As Glow Goo comes from Fireflies, you’ll need to defeat them to acquire their resources. Fireflies can be tricky creatures to find due to the fact that they only appear at night. Although they’re passive towards you, if you attack one, the rest of the nearby Fireflies will join in, so only fight them when you find them alone. The best place to find them is in either the Flooded Zone (west of the Hedge) or the Flower Bed at night.

Once you’ve got your grubby mitts on some Glow Goo, you can craft the following recipes:

These passive insects can be found buzzing around the Flooded Zone biomes, although you can find them almost anywhere in the yard. Also, Gnat Fuzz can drop from different variants of Gnats such as the Infected Gnat, and Meaty Gnat. Finally, you may find some stuck in Web Sacs should you be so lucky.

Place that over a Jerky Rack to dry out the meat to obtain Gnat Jerky. These passive insects can be found buzzing around the Flooded Zone biomes, although you can find them almost anywhere in the yard. Also, Gnat Fuzz can drop from different variants of Gnats such as the Infected Gnat, and Meaty Gnat. Finally, you may find some stuck in Web Sacs should you be so lucky.

The Grass Plank is an extremely handy resource which can be used in the creation of the Workbench, although it’s primarily used in base-building, and décor recipes.

You can find Grass Planks by chopping down strands of grass with an axe. Once the grass has been chopped, you will have to pick up each individual plank, and take it to your base as they can’t be placed in your inventory. You’ll find strands of grass all across the yard, although your best bet would be the Grasslands as it’s in its name.

Greenshield Bug Parts are an item that drops from Greenshield Bugs, which is a more dangerous version of the Stink bug model. These enemies are scattered around the top section of the map, with them lurking in the grassy areas. You can also find them are the Moldorc sites too.
