SA-B 50 Camo Challenges & Tips for Completing Them

By
Craig Robinson

The SA-B 50 is the older brother of the SP-R 208, packing 10 rounds in its magazine, and a more lightweight profile. The result is that you have an incredibly mobile, quick-scoping marksman rifle. Players who love that playstyle will very much enjoy this weapon and can use the same tricks they learned through that gun with this. Though you will need to level this weapon up, unlock and complete the SA-B 50 camo challenges too. For those interested, a look at the SA-B 50 camo challenges, including the gold, platinum and polyatomic challenges. We offer tips, tricks, loadouts, and map strategies to make it easier.

Here is a look at how to complete the MW2 SA-B 50 camo challenges, and tips, tricks loadouts and map strategies to make it less difficult.

MW2 SA-B 50 Camo Challenges Tips

Here are all the SA-B 50 cam challenges and the SA-B 50 gold, platinum, and polyatomic camo challenges.

Challenge Requirement Camo reward
Challenge 1 Get 50 kills with the SA-B 50 Urban Digital
Challenge 2 Get 25 one shot one kills with the SA-B 50 Bullsnake
Challenge 3 Get 10 double kills with the SA-B 50 Toxicity
Challenge 4 Get 10 kills while mounted with the SA-B 5 Splintered Asphalt
Gold Challenge Get three kills without dying ten times Gold Camo
Platinum Challenge 25 longshots with the SA-B 50 Platinum Camo
Polyatomic Challenge 25 headshots with the SA-B 50 Polyatomic
Orion Challenge Currently unknown Orion Camo

The vast majority of these challenges are relatively easy to get. You will quickly get your hands on the first two challenges, without getting many attachments. You need to run close to medium range and try to get those fast ironsight aim-ins and shoot. The joys of this weapon is that it one-shots, as long as you hit the upper body and head. If you hit legs, feel, arms or hands, you will deal 75% of the target’s HPs, so try to avoid jumping enemies and adjust your aim higher, as run jumping against marksman players is a viable counter.

When you are fairly leveled with this gun, your best SA-B 50 loadout to run is as follows:

  • Barrel: 18.5 Bryson LR Factory for sniping on longer maps, or the 12.5“ Carbon Barrel for quick scoping.
  • Optic: Preference. We like the Cronen Zero-P Optic for the 5x magnification, but others will enjoy the SP-X 6.6 or something else.
  • Rear Grip: Schlager Match Grip
  • Bolt: FSS ST87 Bolt
  • Stock: XRK Specter Mod

This loadout greatly increases the ADS speed of your gun, offering some incredibly quick scoping opportunities. You can modify it slightly and take longer barrels for damage range, and use the Polarfire-S silencer if you so wish for extra damage range and velocity, but it’s a preference at the end of the day.

As for the double kill SA-B 50 camo challenge, you can use map and gamemode strategies to your advantage. The strategies we can think of are using objective game modes, like Headquarters, Domination, and Hardpoint, to your advantage. You can then look for areas players funnel to reach objects, or overlook key map rotation areas. Both strategies mean you have higher chances of encountering two enemies within a few seconds of each other. The result is you can get double kills more often, especially when you get the FSS ST87 Bolt on your loadout.

The final mounted challenge is also similar to the double-kill strategy. Once again, find a nice spot that has cover or walls to mount against, and then aim down the angle. This can cover objectives or areas you know players will move around. Good examples are overwatching hard point areas, or map funnels like Al Bagra’s doorways and Las Almas’ market area. You can then get some decent mounted kill using this strategy. Be careful of covering angles 40 meters or higher, as the damage range will fall off, and headshots are the only one-shot in kill areas. It’s not so bad if the area you are covering is open, and you have the FSS Bolt to easily follow up your shots, but it’s something to be wary of nonetheless.

SA-B 50 Gold Camo Challenge and Higher Mastery Level Challenges

Now for the SA-B 50 Gold Camo Challenge. The trick here is to get three kills without dying. To do this, you can play the game however you want. Did you enjoy those mid to long range one shot sniper kills with the gun? Do that! Perhaps you enjoy quick scoping around the map with a scope or ironsights? You can do that too! The great thing about this challenge is it reflects how you like to play your game, game modes, or maps. Feel free to remind yourself of the suggestions for the base challenges, and see which one you want to do.

SA-B 50 Platinum Camo Challenge

As for the SA-B 50 Platinum Camo Challenge, you need longshot kills. Now you need to adjust your loadout slightly to add the higher damage range muzzle and barrel to your loadout. If you were not doing so already, you will lose some ADS, so your SA-B loadout should look like this.

  • Optic of choice
  • Barrel: 16.5“ Bryson LR factory barrel
  • Muzzle: LR Talon or Polarfire-S
  • Rear Grip: Schlager Match Grip
  • Bolt: FSS ST87 Bolt

These attachments will grant decent scope in speed, better chambering speed, and increased damage and damage range. It makes it more viable to snipe long-distance targets at those 40-meter marks. Now you need to find those long-range angles, such as:

  • El Asilo, such as the rock near A on Domination, all the way over the car on the dirt road and beyond. The radio tower works too, if you cover the north direction, as does the building to the southwest side of the map overlooking the storage yard, and the swing dirt mound section.
  • The raceway is good, especially if you can get prone on the fire engine and cover B site on Domination in front of the pit area of the map, The broadcast trucks side of the map works too, but they favor snipers a lot better.
  • Embassy, especially the tennis court and front gate area. You can also get a good prone spot on the roof area of rear gate, near the cafeteria roof. This allows you to cover the car park, with the 35-meter range being the gates to the main embassy building.
  • Taraq is also good if you’re covering north-to-south angles, especially the ruin area towards the building with the second-floor outdoor sniping area, which you can use to cover any objectives that go in that direction.
  • Hotel offers some good long-range angles near the Patio / Parking boost spot, overlooking the Chandelier hallway to the check-in room and vice versa.
  • Invasion modes: The Invasion maps have very long-range areas, especially if you get elevated. Try these maps and get long-range kills, but just be wary of snipers getting long-range kills.

SA-B 50 Polyatomic Camo Challenge

The SA-B 50 Polyatomic Camo Challenge requires players to get headshots with the gun. Once again, play this however you like. The long-range version is good, since you need to land headshots to get one-hit kills anyway, which makes it easier for you to focus headshots. However, if you still enjoy quick scoping and running around, then change your optic to iron sights or a reflex scope of some sort. The smaller range sights will make it easier to take close-range headshots, making it easier for you to get the challenge done. If you play close range, look for very tight and long angles, like those in Farm 18’s buildings, or the doorways around Al Bagra and Las Almas for example. You have better chances lining heads up on these occasions, rather than allowing enemies to come flying around the corner. It’s a small tip that could make a big difference in grinding the headshots out.

This concludes the SA-B 50 Camo Challenges. Hopefully, these tips and tricks make it easier to grind your camo challenges out, as do the map strategies and loadout options. If you feel we need to include a tip, feel free to let us know in the comments section!
