Best STB 556 Loadout in MW2¶

To get this started, we are going to table five attachments for the fast marksman and the carbine build. This will allow you to test both builds yourself, and see which one you prefer.

Carbine Loadout¶

• Barrel 508mm Rear Guard
• Muzzle: FTAC Castle Comp
• Optic of choice
• Unederbarrel: XTEN Drop Grip or Operator Forgrip
• Rear Grip: STIP-40 Grip

The best STB 556 loadout in MW2 for the carbine playstyle is all about retaining as much of that speed and ADS as possible. This makes the gun incredibly lightweight, challenging the Kastoc 74u and the Lachmann 556 in that department. Moreso, it allows you to match the pace of SMG players while having the benefit of AR damage to punch at range.

The downside of this build is that every other AR pretty much outclass its firepower, and its damage range is fairly low too. So, getting into those close-range fights for pre-aim ADS, or hip fire will make all the difference. However, it is a lazer beam in accuracy, so it can outfrag as long as you keep your aim steady on teh player.

You need the VLK LZR to enhance your ADS speed, while the Bruen Guerilla enhances recoil and bullet velocity. Ou then gets more recoil control for the STIP, while the XTEN enhances the Aiming stability and the hip fire accuracy.

Marksman Rifle Loadout¶

The best attachments in the STG556 marksman loadout is as follows:

• Barrel: 24.4 Bruen S-620
• Magazine: Single Tap mode
• Lazer: VLK LZR 7MW
• Muzzle: Echoless-80
• Optic: Optic of choice

The purpose of this build is to enhance your range firepower as much as possible, while still retaining some ADS and movement speed. It makes you a fairly fast marksman, which stands up against the Lachmann 762, Kastov and the TAQ, despite using enhanced 556 rounds. This is ideal for getting around the map and holding angles fast. However, be warned of those actual marksman players who can one-shot you.

Best STB 556 Class Setup in MW2¶

The best STB 556 Class Setup in MW2 is as follows:

• Secondary .50 GS
• Tactical: Flash Grenade
• Lethal: Semtex
• Field Upgrade: Dead Silence or Trophy System

Depending on preference, the secondary is the 50 GS or the X13 Auto. The 50 GS is an ideal choice for the carbine build, as the weapon will lack power at distance, while the Deagle makes up for that. If you’re playing the Marksman build, the X13 Auto is good for close range.

The tactical of choice are Flash Grenades. The Flashes in this game are insane, so might as well keep up with them. Your lethal choice is Semtex most of the time, though MM players can use claymores if they are in a solid spot.

Lastly, your Field Upgrade depends on preference. Dead Silence is good for being a fast mover, which the STB 556 does very well on. The Trophy System is also a good shout if you’re holding a great angle as a MM player, or if your carbine playstyle gets you onto objectives incredibly fast and you intend to hold it for your team.

Best STB 556 Perks in MW2¶

The ideal perks you can get in either of the best STB 556 LOadouts in MW2 are as follows:

• Basic 1: Scavenger
• Basic 2: Battle Hardened
• Bonus: Fast Hands
• Ultimate: Quick Fix

Scavenger is a very good option for players looking to pick up ammo. The AUG will bash through regardless of playstyle. The MM will carry much fewer reserves, while the carbine build has high velocity and spews out ammo. Battle Hardened is also the best perk in the game, while Flashbangs remain as obnoxious as they are.

Your Bonus Perk should be Fast Hands. Fast Hands allows you to reload or swap weapon faster. It’s a good shout, considering both playstyles have low ammo count. Getting that mag in quicker, or swapping to your side arm is a great thing for this play style.

Lastly, Quick Fix is a great ultimate perk if you don’t want to use Ghost. This will begin regenerating your health fast while holding objectives or getting a kill. Having that faster health regen means you can get into the next fight quicker, or handle a 1vX situation much better.
