On paper, Fuga’s class set seems pretty well-geared towards him, giving him a mixed set of offensive skills plus defensive skills (he is one of the few characters who natively has access to Counter and Countermagic). However, his growth rates are absolutely absymal and bring to mind the growth rates of Gunter. In Gunter’s case, he’s at least redeemed by his usefulness in the early game to help the Avatar through earlier chapters. Fuga won’t join until you level up your My Castle Hot Spring to Level 3, meaning it’s around Chapter 20 when he joins, and he’ll be too far behind and unable to catch up.

Fuga is similar to Yukimura in that sense. Overall, unless you really have an unabiding love for Fuga, he’s not worth your time.
