First Generation 3

Gunter

Inveterate Soldier.

A Nohrian knight of middling birth who reached his rank on talent and discipline. He now serves as Corrin’s retainer. He is exceedingly hard on himself and others. Has no sense of humor.

Gunter is only really good for one thing: Getting you through Chapter 3, and in Conquest , being a supporting pair up for his massive boost to Defense. It doesn’t take rocket science to realize that his growth rates are absolutely pitiful, and because he is pre-promoted he is nothing more than an experience sink in the first few chapters anyways.

There’s not much to say on Gunter. No unit can truly be considered poor in Fire Emblem. But Gunter is a very poor unit. He simply cannot compete with the slew of other Cavaliers and Paladins you will acquire later.
