A standard healer class and the Hoshidan counterpart to Strategist, the Onmyoji class is fairly straightforward in where it’s useful and where it’s not. Use magic to pierce through enemies and grant a healer some form of offense (and defense) but the Onmyoji’s main specialty remains that it can heal your allies and keep your army healthy (plus various other kinds of staves and rods with other useful abilities).

The Onmyoji class does, however, have access to yet more Rally skills, useful for turning a character into a “rally bot” to buff your team mates in addition to healing, making them the ultimate support unit. And Tomefaire is as valuable as any of the other “-faire” skills are and so is definitely worth picking up (if you can) for any magic-focused unit.
