The Apothecary has some great skills for players who heavily use Concoctions, Vulneraries, and temporary stat boosting items. Potent Potion does not apply to permanent stat boosting items like Goddess Icon. However, players who tend to rely more heavily on healing from healer-dedicated units and prefer to equip a bunch of weapons instead of Concotions will find such skills moot.

Quick Salve finds itself in the same position, allowing you to heal, and then attack (make sure you move to the enemy because Quick Salve lets you take another action , not move), which can offset the problem of healing only to be attacked and lose everything you just healed. But again, those who do not use healing items will find it to be situational at best.
