Prisoner of War Ships

POW ships are an event that occurs out on the open ocean. They appear as a closed fist icon on the map. These events are made up of a convoy containing the POW ship itself and an escort, usually comprised of 2 ships (either brigs or frigates). You will need to destroy the escort without damaging the POW ship at all.

The POW ships contain up to 100 prisoners that we can free! Damaging the ship in any instance will see the number of POWs still alive on board decrease, which is not great. Destroying the escort ships will give you the ability to initiate a boarding sequence for the slave ship. As per usual, kill the set number of crew and complete any secondary objectives required to free the slaves on board.

For completing the boarding, you will earn 200L per prisoner still alive and a good amount of resources.

In a POW event, destroy the two escorts (left) and then board the POW ship (right).

Ship Convoys

Ship Convoys and Royal convoys are very similar to the POW ship events and they likewise can be discovered on the open ocean. They appear as a ship with a pound icon on the map. These events are made up of a convoy containing the main resource laden ship and an escort, usually comprised of 2-3 ships (a combination of gunships , brigs and frigates). You will need to destroy all of the ships before boarding the brig to end the event.

You’ll earn a large amount of money and resources upon completing the event.
