Magefist

By
Nathan Garvin

While it’s a normal-tier item, Magefist is actually one of the better gloves for combat casters in Diablo 2 due to its bonuses to Cast Rate and Mana Regeneration. While the Mana Regeneration won’t give you the same reserves as [Frostburns] will, the Cast Rate is definitely appreciated, and only [Trang-Ouls Claws] match it. If you’re playing a character who uses fire magics (be it fire spells from the Druid’s elemental tree, the Holy Fire offensive aura, or the Fire tree for the Sorceress) you’ll also get a +1 bonus to fire skills, making Magefist arguably the best gloves you can wear in the entire game.

The iLv of Magefist makes them unlikely to drop until Act 5 Normal difficulty (although Diablo may prove generous), but running Shenk, Eldritch, Pindle and Baal might see them drop… or just killing anything in Nightmare difficulty.
