Restoring the Moon's Power

Exploring the World

You’ll appear back at the launchpad, where you still can’t do anything about Amatsu. Exit back to the main area of the Command Base for a scene, where Zemrode will place a teleporter down that will bring you straight to the Imperial Palace…nice! Since you need to go there, use the teleporter and make your way to the throne room. So, to break through Krom’s barrier, you need the use of a weapon called the Lunaripper, which existed in the past. Luckily, the blueprints still exist, but they are split between the empire and Graccia. Of course, Graccia is still lost, so you are going to have to find a way to restore it.

The party then transfers over to the wardroom, where they discuss what to do about the kingdom of Graccia. Their plan is set and once you regain control, go ahead and open the chest in the room, which previously couldn’t be opened, for a Z-Sword. Return to the throne room at the palace (via the teleporter in the main area of the Command Base) to debrief Zemrode about what you’re planning to do. After all is said and done, he will grant you permission to use a winger. You will automatically be placed in the winger and will be outside of the capital city.

Your main goal is to find the holy spritnite column and if it’s lost, then restore it to have the moonlight restore Kanata’s power to its max. Of course, with your newfound freedom, there are a few things you can do, like restore Lost Points, get a few items and even unlock another spritnite column. To begin, fly south and a little west to a small island not far from Watt, where there is nothing but sparkles. Land on the northern tip, though, and collect the purple one for the Geldknight artifact knowledge.

Fly east from the last island to the one with Ragness Ruins on it. There will be a Lost Point southwest of the ruins, so go ahead and place an artifact there. On the same landmass, you will need to land the winger on the northeastern corner of it to find another Lost Point. Also, there is the dark spritnite column here, which will grant Locke his Paradigm Drive, Jackpot. In addition to this, you unlock a new link skill, Ultimabuster, as well as the Wintia artifact knowledge. One last spot you should visit is on the island with Salny, in the northwest corner. There is a small spot where you can land the winger and restore another Lost Point.

Holy Spritnite Column

Straight north from Elgarthe is a small island just off the coast and when you approach it, you will see the holy spritnite column, which is lost. When you get close, a short scene will happen and your next objective is to do a little bit of moon gazing. For this, you will need to revisit Yugebury, which is on the eastern continent; it’s the first town just northeast of Scar Top. Take the northeastern exit while in town to get to the cliff that has the view of the moon. The New Moon Memory will change into the Sickle Moon Memory, but it isn’t strong enough just yet.

Before leaving, there is another memory you can get here, which is from a man standing next to the bridge south of the exit to the moon-viewing spot. His name is Fauw and you can create a False Memory by speaking with him. That’s all for now, so you’ll need to find another spot to look at the moon. The game doesn’t outright tell you, but using Party Chat will give you two hints (from Galdra and Obaro). Galdra mentions the imperial observatory, which is in Watt, while Obaro talks about some ruins.

Let’s take care of the ruins spot first, since it’s a little bit closer and you don’t have to delve deep into the place. Ragness Ruins is your destination and upon entering there, the memory will change into a Half Moon Memory. That leaves the observatory in Watt, so enter from the South Gate and use the elevator on the right side to get there. Note that entry is prohibited during the night, so rest at the inn if needed. Go to the top to have the moon memory changed into a Full Moon Memory, which will finally be powerful enough to restore the spritnite column.

Return to the holy spritnite column and use the newly powered up memory to restore it. Activate the column to receive some new Paradigm Drives for Kanata (Momentum Strike and Eclipse), as well as the Fablulesco artifact knowledge. If you’ve unlocked all other spritnite columns, then you should acquire the Knower of the World trophy upon freeing the holy spritnite column. Anyways, that’s all you need to do in order to start your quest to free the kingdom of Graccia…
