Animals are the fruit of the Ocean Giant and Swamp Giant’s loins. The Ocean Giant’s Animals primarily yield Food, while the Swamp Giant’s Animals produce Wealth.

To upgrade animals you must use the Forest Giant’s Hunt Aspect, the Ocean Giant’s Herd Aspect, the Rock Giant’s Exotic Aspect and the Swamp Giant’s Predator Aspect.

Animals have what’s known as ‘Animal Range’. This effect spreads the creatures generated resources over a number of tiles, rather than having all of its output centralised on the tile you place the animal upon. In light of this many animal symbiosis effects come into play when a certain thing is in range, this can be any tile the Animal’s range can reach. Bear this fact in mind when you’re considering how to place an animal in relation to other symbiosis effects.
