Finish an Era with a Completed Great Project

Obviously the great Project that will appear for you is not something we can entirely predict, however we feel inclined to warn you, the requirements for these projects can often be somewhat demanding.

A great project will appear after the successful creation of a basic project. We recommend, as often is the case, that you focus on one lone village when approaching this development. This way you’re not confusing yourself with multiple areas, and the village’s ‘asks’ will be tempered. However if you are struggling with this development then use the mountain of time you have to build other small villages purely for their ambassadors - aspects can help you reach the required resources.

Border Expansion - a village will expand its borders over time and you have a small slice of agency over how this works. A village is more likely to extend towards resources than no resources, it’s also more likely to extend into its own tile type than that of another biome. A village rich in Awe will also expand more frequently; another reason to focus on those pear trees…

A forest is a great place to start as, thanks to Pear trees, food in these zones is incredibly plentiful from only a few spots and you can use mines and Swamp animals to provide tech and wealth if needed. As is always the case, pay special attention to the project’s specialization as these can help you create a lot of easy resources, and will often help towards the project’s completion.

If a project appears that you’re not confident in fulfilling, then simply build up resources and other small villages (for ambassadors) while it times out (or detroy it with the Rock Giant if you’re eager). The village will try another project before long, and you may find that easier to achieve.
