Robbing the Rich

There has been a robbery and a noble’s most precious heirloom, his late brother’s sword, is the object that has been stolen. You can start this quest by speaking with Ravan in Meridian. Talk to the steward nearby, then use your Focus to look at the window right next to him, where you’ll find some blood. Highlight the trail and follow it to its end, where you will need to talk to a witness. Particularly, you want to speak with the woman, Keadi, right next to where the trail ends; she is the one crouching. She mentions that the thief took some cloth and went downstairs, so go south/southeast and look for the large set of stairs going down.

Eventually, the trail will go cold once again, so talk to the woman (Rokasha) standing nearby, who mentions the thief took the lift down but wasn’t holding anything. So, that means the thief dropped the sword off somewhere while running, with that Keadi being a suspect. Head back to her to hear her side of the story, with your next objective being to meet her friends at the watermill in the lower village. Take the elevator to Meridian Village and follow the trail north through the Royal Maizelands and then southeast and south at the following splits.

Once you arrive at the watermill, talk with Kindiv to learn that their little operation resembles a certain Robin Hood; they rob from the rich to help out the poor folk at Sunfall. Kindiv has learned of your reputation and asks for your help in finding someone, in return for the sword that was stolen. His friend, Hasan, has went missing to the north, so you need to journey there, to the fork, where Hasan was supposed to meet with someone else. This place is located to the north, so go back to Meridian and take the northern exit.

Following the purple trail is common in these sidequests (left). There are a lot of enemies at the fort, so try to stick to the shadows (right).

Follow this path, ignoring any detours along the way, as it passes through Cut-Cliffs and you come across four more campfires all along the path. After the fourth one, the road will bend west, so keep going that way until you arrive at the marker. Examine the scraps of cloth right next to the campfire, then activate your Focus and follow the trail you find as it heads west. They will bring you to a Shadow Carja outpost, but these guys are hostile, so scope the place out before you waltz right in.

Take out the two guards in the towers out front, as well as anyone else that might be in range, then head around the western side of the outpost. Continue taking out anyone along the way on this side, then double back and go to the eastern side for more killing. From this side, you should be able to get to the campfire, which is accessible, and onto the bridge leading to the area in the back. This is where Nasan is being kept and interrogated, with a single Elite soldier mixed in with the other riffraff. You should be able to pick off the other soldiers from the door, but the Elite will need a few more arrows to the head than the others, plus he is equipped with a Firespitter, so be careful. With them all dead, talk to Nasan, then follow him out of the outpost. After a little bit more conversation, Nasan will go off, so return to Ravan in Meridian to finish.
