Hello, and welcome to my guide for Mass Effect 2! If I were to be honest, I would say that of all the various game series that I got stuck into during my 7 years with my Xbox 360, my favourite by a long shot would have to be Mass Effect. The fantastic combination of excellent writing, compelling gameplay, stellar (or interstellar?) art direction and the always intriguing story makes this series very special.

This guide to Mass Effect 2 (at this stage) covers the vanilla version of the game sans DLC, with a view to have that added in a future update…

Yep, I can sense that I’m boring you now, so before I lose your attention, go grab your weapon of choice and a few heat clips to keep it stocked and get ready to take down mercenaries, Geth and renegade mechs as we take a whirlwind tour round the galaxy, seeing everything the game has to offer in a single playthrough. That’s right, we’ll be smashing through each and every campaign mission, loyalty mission and exploration side-quest whilst nabbing all of the pick-ups, weapons and research projects as you go. Huzzah!
