Hello Games continue to expand the No Man’s Sky universe like there is no tomorrow and have now dropped the latest update - Endurance - which sees a huge overhaul of the games Freighters.

What is No Man’s Sky Endurance (patch notes 3.94)
Freighter bases have been completely overhauled in update 3.94 which is now available to download, and in good news for Switch owners, will be included when the game comes to that console in October of this year.
While your existing freighter bases will be preserved, No Man’s Sky Endurance brings with it a huge array of new Freighter parts and themed rooms which will allow you to create something much more distinctive in space than we have previously been able to do.
Freighters will now have crew members moving throughout their corridors so the whole thing should now seem a little less eerie than previously, with only two NPCs to interact with generally.
A huge visual upgrade also comes to freighters and their exteriors giving them a much more varied look - expect to see many different capital ships as you zip around space now.

Organic frigates also join organic star ships in the game and look really cool and also giving you something else to worry about as they now need to be fed in order to evolve.
Freighter farms will now be able to be constructed with specialized cultivation chambers where you can grow plants and crops and harvest them for a profit with a single interaction. It’s always good to see the quality of life improvements such as this as NMS can have quite a bit of repetition in its generic farming.
New space effects
Space has never looked to good as in the latest NMS update. Black Holes and gorgeous Nebula now litter the great expanse.
One of the best things about this is you can now build externally on your freighters to help you take in the view even more. Observation decks and catwalks will allow you to take in space vistas as never before.
You can also add windows to your freighter’s corridors now so you can getter another viewpoint on space as you walk around.
Quality of life improvements
One of the reasons we love what Hello Games continues to do with NMS is the Quality of Life improvements that keep getting added. While the base building was such a large part of the game, it could at times be clunky so new mechanics allowing you to directly replace base parts without having to delete the previous part and worry about snapping your new part once again are more than welcome here.
Finally, the Polestar Expedition arrives and each phase will reward new collectibles as ever as you complete the cruise. The Fleet Commander’s cape being the most prized asset of them all. Check out our page above for a full breakdown of the rewards available.
We are also getting several new asteroid types and the starship scanner will now locate asteroids that are rich in resources.

Endurance Hotfix 3.95
Just two days after the launch of Endurance, Hello Games released the first hotfix for new update, fixing a raft of bugs and issues.
No Man’s Sky Patch 3.95
Items gathered by fleet expeditions can now be stored in any inventory, not just the main freighter inventory.
Cargo collected from idle fleet frigates can now be stored in any inventory, not just the main freighter inventory.
Player markers now display more detailed information if that player is aboard their freighter.
Players are now given notification hints to explain how to summon or dismiss their freighter in multiplayer.
The player’s current ship is now always marked while in the freighter hangar, even if very close by.
Living frigates that are damaged can be fed from the fleet management screen to restore them to health.
Fixed an issue that could leave players in space if they were aboard a freighter that was warping to another galaxy.
Fixed an issue that caused the captain’s hologram on the Fleet Command Terminal to appear in the wrong place.
Fixed an issue that could allow frigates to warp out while the player was viewing their purchase details.
Fixed an issue that caused the Overseer’s terminal to be missing from their freighter room.
Fixed an issue that could prevent the Cycle Part option working properly after using the Swap Part function.
