No Man's Sky

Switch Version

Paul McNally

No Man’s Sky will finally make its way to the Nintendo Switch in October 2022. October 7th is the date to put in your diary if you are looking to play on Nintendo’s console, some six years after the game’s original release. NMS will arrive for the Switch in both digital and physical formats.

A whole world of No Mans Sky on Nintendos hand-held device.

The same date will also see a physical release for the PlayStation 5. Hello Games said: “It really is an entire universe in the palm of your hand. It has been a huge undertaking, but a very rewarding one for our small team, and I’m really proud of the result.”

The achievement to get this giant procedurally generated game into the Switch is one that Hello Games should be rightly proud of. It will be interesting to see how the game pans out as it is largely played online so the handheld aspect of playing on the move will be interesting to see how it translates.

Indeed it has been confirmed that the game will be a single-player experience at launch with multiplayer hopefully to follow in the future. And it’s nto like Hello Games don’t have a track record of constantly updating theuir digital baby.

The current versions of No Man’s Sky have received vast swathes of updates over the years and there is no confirmation of how far along this upgrade path the Switch version will be. The latest PC update is Outlaws and it has been mentioned that the update may not initially come to Switch, but we will have to wait and see as more news becomes available and update this page accordingly.

Nintendo Switch information will be added here as it released.

When will No Man’s Sky be released for Nintendo Switch?

Hello Games have confirmed the game will release for the Switch in both physical and digital formats on October 7th 2022.
