Pincer Shell Evilities List

Jarrod Garripoli

Evilities have been a mechanic in the Disgaea series since they debuted in Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice. They are passive abilities that can be equipped to your characters, with a wide ranged of effects. This page will list all of the Evilities that unlock for the Pincer Shell class, as well as point out any standout Evilities that can be good for builds.

In order to get the Common Evilities from the Classes for other characters, you will need to increase the Class Proficiency for that characters through the subclass system. For example, if you wish to get the Warrior Evilities for Zed, then you need to set the Warrior as his subclass and rank it up, then purchase them from the Skill Shop. Every class has five Common Evilities, with each rank adding an additional Evility to the shop, so you need at least Rank 5 to get all of the Common Evilities from a single class.

(1 of 4) You need to earn stars as the subclass to unlock their Evilities

As far as Unique Evilities go, each of the classes will have one that will be stuck on that character and cannot be changed out at all. In order to get the classes’ Unique Evilities on other characters, you will first need to master that class through the subclass system. After doing that, you will then need to unlock an Unique Evility slot for that character. For more information on that, visit the How to Unlock More Evility Slots page.

Pincer Shell’s Unique Evility

The Pincer Shell’s Unique Evility is called Shellacker, and it increases the unit’s defensive power by 10% per each attack received, up to a maximum of 200%. Yep, this can be pretty great on a character that is set up for a more defensive role, especially if you use the Enemy Lure one to make sure that enemies are more likely to attack. Outside of a defensive character, it’s probably not going to work well.

List of Common Evilities (Pincer Shell)

Icon Common Evility Description Mana Cost Slots
D6HerculeanPincerIcon.png Herculean Pincers Stats cannot fall below 95% 100 3
D6EvadeDangerIcon.png Crabwalk 30% chance of evading attacks from the front 250 2
D6BlastingFistIcon.png Shell Hammer 50% chance to inflict Amnesia when attacking normally 1,000 2
D6SuperGutsIcon.png Exoskeleton Decrease damage taken from the side and from behind by 50% 2,500 5
D6BoilingBloodIcon.png Majestic Carapace Cannot be lifted or knocked back, increase stats by 10% and counter-attacks by 1 5,000 3

The only two potentially good Common Evilities in the Pincer Shell’s set are Herculean Pincers and Exoskeleton. The former is good for those enemies that like to use stat drop skills on you. With it, your stats cannot fall below 95%, which means the stat drop is minimal. The latter Evilities will be good for a defensive minded character, but it’s not a full 50% reduction, since it is restricted to just damage taken from the side and behind.
