This quest can be acquired from Andrew, the innkeeper at the Inn in the Glade. He has heard rumours that the tavern in Skalitz was looted by thieves. He recommends that you speak with a Skalitz refugee named Adam, who can be found somewhere in Rattay. Go to Rattay and ask one of the refugees where he might be. Those who definitely know are Alex and Ringlet.

Once you know that Adam will be either at the stables or in the tavern, a marker with his location will appear on the map. Find him and speak with him.

Adam will inform you that the man who stole his valuables had a face smeared with soot. This seems to indicate that he was probably a charcoal-burner.

Once you have found out everything you can from Adam, you will have two options; inform Andrew the innkeeper about what you have learnt, or take the valuables directly back to Adam. Whatever you choose, you will first have to find the charcoal-burner north of Rovna.

(1 of 2) The charcoal-burner that you seek can be found working outside his hut, north west of the camp.

The charcoal-burner that you seek can be found working outside his hut, north west of the camp. (left), Interact with the kettle beside the hut and then speak with the charcoal-burner to incriminate him. (right)

You can choose to intimidate the charcoal-burner to make him admit everything, or you can take a softer approach leading to the option of purchasing the loot. If you intimidate him successfully he will tell you that you can find the stash under a fallen tree in thw woods. Go to the tree and retrieve the loot. You can now go back to the charcoal-burner and ask him about where the cross is. He will tell you that he sold it to Andrew, the innkeeper at the Inn in the Glade.

You can confront Andrew about the cross. If you select ‘Why would he lie?’ or ‘I think you´re a liar’, the conversation will end and you will not be able to purchase the cross.

If you plan to give everything back to Adam, you should ask Andrew if you can buy the cross from him. He will accept, and you can haggle the price. You can now take everything back to Adam and choose no reward, a small one, or a large one. Alternatively you can tell Adam that you found the loot and split the reward, earning you 575 Groschen. Regardless of your choice, the quest will then complete.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an open-world RPG set in the last throes of the Middle Ages. The year is 1403 and the Kingdom of Bohemia is about to be plunged into turmoil. Henry, a resdient of the castle town Skalitz, is the son of a renowned blacksmith. When Skalitz is attacked, both of his parents are killed by the invading forces of Hungarian King Sigismund, led by Sir Markvart von Aulitz. Henry’s quest then becomes your own; to exact vengeance upon those who destroyed his hometown, friends and family. Along the way, Henry finds himself embroiled in the affairs of the great lords in the region. Rather than give in to the hatred fueled by the death of his boyhood, Henry decides to become a man and help in any way that he can against the ramifications of the assault on Skalitz.
