This is a guide for the Support Request, Mainz Mountain Path Monster Extermination in Day 2 of Chapter 1 of The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero.

How to Start Mainz Mountain Path Monster Extermination¶
As with the majority of the requests in The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, you will be able to get this from the terminal in the SSS building, as soon as Day 2 starts in Chapter 1 and you have full control. The monster for this request is located on the Mainz Mountain Path.
How to Complete Mainz Mountain Path Monster Extermination¶
Once you have the details for the request from the SSS terminal, you will need to wait until you have reached the Mainz Mountain Path, which is the main objective for Day 2 of Chapter 1. At some point during your exploration, you will reach a split that has a bus stop. The left path leads deeper into the Mainz Mountain Path, while the one to the right leads to a different area, although the party puts you on that path first. Head into that area and look at your map to find a large, red dot on it. This is the location of the monster you need to exterminate, so approach it to find the Fall Eagle and initiate combat.

You will be fighting two Fall Eagles here and there will be boss music here, so prepare yourself for a decent fight. Thankfully, they don’t have any resistances to any ailments, so you can make the fight a lot easier on yourself with some of them. On Hard difficulty, their normal attack can hit upwards of almost 500 damage. Fall Dive is about the same damage, but it can hit multiple party members. Note that both of their attacks have a chance to inflict Blind, so hopefully you have some Eye Drops ready in case. They are weakest to fire-based attacks, and as already mentioned, they have no resistances to ailments. Don’t forget to use S-Crafts, if you have any locked and loaded.

Upon defeating both of the Fall Eagles, you will finish the request and can turn it in.
