This page covers the new sights and services in Crossbell at the start of Chapter 2 in The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero. Learn all about the Support Requests you can undertake as you work on this during the day.
Golden Sun, Silver Moon is the name for Chapter 2 in Trails from Zero.
Unlike Chapter 1, Chapter 2 doesn’t start off with you being handed an important mission from the start, instead, the group decides to take stock of the current situation and see to their rounds until they hear more. You’ll also learn that Zeit has become popular with the residents of Crossbell and along with that, Tio can now use the Summon Zeit Craft in battle, handy for when you’re in a pinch.
Once you gain control, check out the Orbal Computer to see what Requests are available to you for Day 1, there’s four total Requests, with Old Road Property Monster Extermination being the Urgent Request that will advance the story. For now, before you head off to do the other Requests, take the chance to look around Crossbell for new gear and missables.

There are three missables at the start of Chapter 2, these are the Crossbell Times - Issue 3, which you can purchase at the Times Department Store in Central Square. Head into the Administrative District and pay a visit to the Library, you’ll find a man sitting at a desk to the right and some bookshelves behind him to the left. Examine this to obtain the Homemade Egg Pudding Recipe. Finally, go to West Street and into Morges’ Bakery, then into the back room and have a chat with Morges himself to obtain the Thick Espresso Recipe. Finally, you can give Coppe a fish for today and receive a Quartz in return.

Exploring Crossbell City¶
With the missables taken care of, now is the time to head around the city to take of any upgrades and other pieces of business before you set off on today’s Requests.
Gironde Armory (Central Square): Gironde Armory will have upgraded their weapons and armor once again. You should have enough Mira to purchase a full set of new weapons for everyone along with three pieces of armor (you’re going to get a superior one in a short moment). If you don’t have enough Mira on you, you can always head to the IBC and exchange some Sepith, provided you did the Assistance with New Service Request in Chapter 1.
Genten Orbal Store (Central Square): You can synthesize new Quartz at the Genten Orbal Store, something you’ve probably not done before, nor do you need to start just yet. More importantly, however, is the ability to upgrade your slots to a higher level, allowing you to slot higher rarity Quartz that you’ll start finding soon. You’ll also get a max EP boost for each upgrade too however these slots are more expensive than the previous ones so consider settling on just upgrading a single slot for each character for now.
Guillaume Factory (Downtown District): As you may remember from your visit in Chapter 1, you can use this workshop to upgrade your weapons for more powerful versions using U-Materials. The weapons on offer are significantly more powerful than anything you can buy at this time, and one of their required bases are the new weapons sold at Gironde Armor in this chapter. Take stock of whatever U-Material’s you currently have on you and upgrade as many weapons as you can, starting with Lloyd and Randy.
CPD (Administrative District): Remember to pay a visit to Receptionist Rebecca and hand over your Combat Notebook to get your next set of rewards, the U-Materials from this may allow you to upgrade another weapon.

With all of this business out of the way, it’s time to focus on your Requests, and you can finish the Enigma Combat Test Request without leaving Crossbell (whereas we’ll need to leave Crossbell for the others).

There is one other small matter to take care of before continuing with the story. Exit via the Residential District and take the bus to the Mainz Mining Village stop. Take the western exit here to return to the tunnels and you’ll now discover that you can exit these to the south to reach a new area, the Moon Temple.
(1 of 3) the real winner is this chest though, the armor is much better than anything else you can buy right now.
Much of this is closed off to you for now, but there are three new monster entries to collect (Poms will only spawn with Abyss Worms) and two chests. You’ll also find that the monsters here will give you plenty of EXP, so it may be worth sticking around to gain some levels to make the beginning parts of Chapter 1 easier. The area is linear, so explore and nab the two chests containing a Teara Balm and a Bulletproof Jacket, an upgrade on what’s available at Gironde Armory.
