Before you can even begin with any tasks, you must head to Central Command and speak with Kurasame. He will continue your permit to use Eidolons and the Triad Maneuver.

Triad Maneuver : If all three of your party members are alive and you have a full AG bar, you can perform an incredibly powerful triple attack whereby your squad joins together as one to combine their powers and unleash them on unsuspecting enemies. Your leader will not be sacrificed and you can freeze enemies in place if you stand close to them when activating the Triad Maneuver. This ability is exceptionally useful when trying to achieve an S-Rank during mission replays.

Expert Trials

You now have access to Expert Trials though most require you to be on your second or third playthrough. They take twelve hours to complete and are exceptionally more difficult than their normal counterparts. They function like regular missions but with the added difficulty.

Prepare well for them by being at least close to the level requirement and equipping your strongest abilities. Do not even bother if you aren't close as it is highly unlikely you will be able to complete any of them. You can find the NPCs that offer them at the Main Gate of Akademeia. See the Expert Trials section of the guide for full details on each trial.

Expert Trials are much harder versions of missions you've done. They are not for your first playthrough.

The Airship Landing will re-open upon completion of this free time section. You can now fly to different locations around Orience instead of travelling on foot or by chocobo.

At first you can only reach Mi-Go in the north of the Togoreth Region. As you capture more fortresses in Rubrum, more locations will be added. Fly to Mi-Go when you're ready to begin the next mission.

If you need to shop, you can always enter Mi-Go and browse the wares on offer there or complete a Task too. A l'Cie Crystal is also on offer should you wish to explore that avenue. See the l'Cie Crystals section of the guide for help with that. Head over to the Iscah Region when you're done exploring.

You will get a notification on your way to the Main Gate about the Airships resuming the shuttle service. Head to the Airship Landing to use them.
