Quite a few things are quite well hidden during Chapter 4 of Resident Evil 4 Remake, and one such thing is the “Catch Me a Big Fish” request. Getting this request can be difficult to find if you don’t know where to look. Read below to find out where you can accept the “Catch Me a Big Fish” request as well as where to find the Lunker Bass.

How to Accept the “Catch Me a Big Fish” Request in RE4 Remake¶

First things first, you’ll need access to the boat, so progress the story until you have free rein over the Lake. What you want to do now is head to the Lakeside Settlement which can be found in the northwest of the lake. This place has a lot of enemies, so be on your guard. Land at the boat dock, and head north until you reach a gate which requires the Insignia Key. Unlock the gate, and follow the path left where you’ll find a couple of breakable barrels, and the request to the right of them.

This request requires you to capture “a gigantic fish”, and it’ll have a photo attached of the last location a fish of that description was seen. If you further read the details, you’ll find out that you’re searching for a Lunker Bass fish.

Where to Find the Lunker Bass in RE4 Remake¶

When looking at the attached photo, that place may have looked familiar to you, but you can’t quite put your finger on where you saw it. Well, the place in the photo is the Boathouse which can be found to the south of the map. Ride the boat south, and as you start to approach the Boathouse, keep your eyes peeled on the water. The Lunker Bass can be found a little way to the north of the boathouse, and it swims around this area.

Once you’ve spotted it, you’ll have to catch it which can be done by holding down / to get the aiming reticle, and / to throw the harpoon.

The easiest way to do this is, drive your boat right next to the fish, and quickly start aiming your harpoon. Now, aim just in front of the moving fish, and throw the harpoon at it. If you miss, keep readjusting your aim in front of it until you get it. You’ll know when the fish has been hit as a blood pool will appear underneath it. Ride the boat near its corpse to collect the fish. All you need to do now is take it to any Merchant, and sell it to them which will complete the request. This will reward you with 4x Spinels.
