Resident Evil 4 Remake was released on the 24 March 2023 and as you may already know if you’ve played any of the other Resident Evils there will be certain trophy/achievements tied to killing enemies in a certain way. This page will navigate you through the necessary steps to defeating a Garrador with only a knife, so you can bag the Never Heard It Coming trophy.

How To Unlock The Never Heard It Coming Trophy¶
Before you can get this trophy you’ll need to progress through the game until you reach Chapter 7, then continue playing through until you have to collect the Dungeon Key. Here you’ll fall through the ground into a lair where you’ll meet your very first Garrador. This encounter is the first/easiest point of the game to attempt the Never Heard It Coming Trophy/Achievement.
Ignore the Garrador for now and instead follow the path around until you reach an open room containing multiple wooden walls, then you’ll want to crouch and hide behind them and wait until the Garrador enters. You’ll now want to wait until it is facing the opposite direction, so its back is exposed, then slowly crouch walk towards it and perform a backstab by pressing

Once you regain control, quickly sprint back and hide behind another wooden wall and repeat the process until it is dead. This may require you to perform 5 backstabs, but if you’ve upgraded the Knife, then it will take around 3. If all the wooden walls have been destroyed, then you’ll have to keep slashing him with your knife whilst healing up after every attack.
