Chapter 8 All Treasure Location Guide in Resident Evil 4 Remake

By
Matt Chard

At the start of Chapter 7 in Resident Evil 4 Remake, you can purchase the Treasure Map from the Merchant for 3 Spinels who is in the first door to the right. This will display all the treasure locations on the map for the entire Castle section including Chapter 8 as well as give you a small progression counter in the bottom right corner of the map. Although this will show you their general location, it won’t show you how to get them. Read below how to get all seven treasures in Chapter 8.

Treasure: 1 - Mirror with Pearls & Rubies

The Mirror with Pearls and Rubies treasure can be acquired in the Wine Cellar after defeating the Summoner with the Crimson Lantern. There are quite a few enemies here, and the Summoner will make their heads become infested with Plagas. For this section, you’ll want to rush the Summoner as quickly as possible to defeat them. This will keep the majority of enemies as themselves. Once you’ve cleared the area from enemies, proceed to the back of the cellar where the Summoner was, and open the treasure chest in the lit-up area.

Treasure: 2 - Extravagant Clock

Progress the story until you reach the Bindery where you’ll have a cutscene with a familiar face. When you regain control, open up the treasure chest to the left of the fireplace, to obtain the Extravagant Clock.

Treasure: 3 - Brass Pocket Watch

The Brass Pocket Watch is also in the Bindery, but it’s in a locked drawer near the entryway. Fortunately, you can pick up the Small Key nearby after completing the Lithograph puzzle. Once you’ve unlocked the door, follow the eerie hallway into the next room, and continue on to the next hallway. Go up the stairs, and you’ll see a creepy creature run across the wall. This can’t hurt you…for now. Progress through the door, and turn left to find the Small Key lying on the wooden crate. Head all the way back to the Bindery, and unlock the locked drawer for your treasure.

Treasure: 4 - Ornate Necklace

You’ll have to progress the game a bit until you reach the Castle Battlements section to get the Ornate Necklace. There is a treasure on the map before this one, but you won’t be able to get it just yet. As you progress through the area, you’ll get introduced to the Sun/Moon switch mechanic. Proceed onwards until you go to the lower floor with more switches where you’ll have to go back and forth between two switches.

Flip the Sun switch in front of the lattice, to the right of the shelves in the area with a shootable flame light hanging above. Continue through the now-open door, and climb up the yellow-painted wooden planks to climb through a hole onto the next floor. To your left will be another switch, pull it to progress, and drop the hole behind the bars. Follow the corridor through the door and defeat the enemy hiding to the right of it. Then open the treasure chest behind the enemy.

(1 of 2) You’ll need to progress the Sun/Moon switch puzzle area until you go up some wooden planks to the next floor.

Treasure: 5 - Emerald

Remember that treasure that you couldn’t get earlier, well now you can. When you get to the top of the Castle Battlements you’ll trigger a cutscene with an El Gigante (ogre). Turn to your right to find a broken wall, and drop to the path below. Continue on, and climb the ladder to find the chest in the center of this tower. There is also a Clockwork Castellan on the same tower, behind some boxes.

Treasure: 6 - Ruby

The final treasure of Chapter 8 is in the same area, but on a lower level. Progress through the area, dodging the El Gigante’s boulders (you can crouch behind the walls to avoid some), and you’ll eventually reach across a broken floor leaving you with the only option to drop. As you drop, turn 180° and go through the open Sun door, and pull the Moon switch. This will open the door behind it (next to the door you entered), and you can drop to the lower floor. Once again, turn 180° and go through the door to find a breakable barrel, and an explosive barrel. An enemy will drop behind you, so take them out first, then aim at the ceiling to find a hanging Silver container. Shoot it, and the Ruby will drop.

(1 of 2) Progress through the area outside until you’re forced to drop to the floor below. Drop one more time and head into the room behind you.

Treasure: 7 - Ornate Beetle

You will be able to get this treasure at the start of Chapter 12 once you’ve picked up the Small Key. This is in a locked drawer on the Castle Battlements.
