If you’re looking for help with the Dead Island 2 Poolside Key, we know what you need to do. When you find this in the early game, you won’t be able to unlock it. This is because the creature that you need to get the key from has not yet spawned in the game. You’ll find this is a fairly common occurrence as you play through the Dead Island 2 missions.

Dead Island 2 Poolside Key¶

The Dead Island 2 Poolside Key is only available once you have beaten the Monarch Stuidios mission. When you are looking for Michael at the end of the mission, you’ll find a Hollywood A-lister is now a zombie. Turns it it is the first kind of Bloater you find in the game. These are your Boomers crossed with Spitters from Left 4 Dead, who stand there firing bile from their beliefs at you.

Once you have completed that mission, Bloaters will now spawn in the game across all maps. Once the Bloaters are unlocked, you can return to Hotel Haperin and get the Dead Island 2 Poolside key. Oh, when you’re at the end of the Monarch Studios, you’ll also get a quest to go back to Hotel Halperin, so you can complete two things in one.

Once you’re back at Hotel Halperin, you can now head to the huge crack in the main street to the east of the Hotel Halperin, You should now find that there are Bloaters in the pool taking a bath of oil. One of those Bloaters should be called Sunbather, who you must kill. Killing Sunbather will drop the Poolside Keys in Dead Island 2. Be careful with killing it though, as it means that the Poolside Keys may spawn below the oil level, making it somewhat difficult to get them.

Once you have them, you can return to the Poolside Biocontainer. We got a Composite Sledgehamer with a bleed perk built in, but, that might be because of our level when we came back and opened it. Hopefully, you now know how to get the Dead Island 2 Poolside Key.
