These plushie-looking penguins actually house the souls of human criminals. Depending on the crimes they committed, they have to pay off their sins with hard labor and money in order to be reincarnated on the night of the Red Moon. Handle with care to prevent explosions.
You have access to the Prinny from the beginning of the game. As a basic monster unit, the Prinny doesn’t seem all too tantalizing at a glance. Their unique Evility make it so when you throw them, the Prinny will explode and deal damage equal to 50% of its max HP. So, this means that you can’t really throw Prinnies at all, meaning you will have to rely on their own movement. Their stats are also kind of on the low side, although their aptitudes end up pretty good across the board. Note that one of the DLC Prinnies you can get has an Evility you can pass around, which makes it so Prinnies don’t explode when thrown, so that might be a good idea if you wish to use one. They are good with either type of monster weapon, and it doesn’t really matter which one you use, although their aptitudes are slightly skewed towards ATK.
The Prinny’s unique Evility, Explosive Body, makes them explode when thrown, dealing damage to a range of 2 panels and equal to 50% of their max HP. It is possible to boost the HP as much as possible and make a Prinny bomb, thanks to this. 1 HL basically makes it so the healing fee at the hospital only costs 1HL. This might be nice in the earlier portions of the game, when HL is a bit tight, but it stops becoming a factor once you get some money built up. Cross Bomber makes it so when the unit with this explodes, they will explode in straight lines of up to 5 panels. This will make an exploding unit hit more targets.
Through Adversity increases the stats of the unit by 30%, whenever they are inflicted with an ailment. While this will happen a lot during the main game, the stats boost later on can be easily gotten in other ways, without having to worry about an ailment. Focused Bomb will make the damage dealt from a unit exploding deal damage equal to 100% of their max HP. This makes it easier to build a much more powerful bomb. Recycle Spirit makes it so if the unit dies from exploding, it doesn’t take up a dispatch spot from the Base Panel. You could build up an army of sacrificial bombs with this Evility, then still be able to take out the same number of units as before.
