This quest becomes available after you have pulled all the levers within the Spire of Light, a dungeon located in the south eastern corner of the Hallowed Marsh region. For a guide to this, see Mouths to Feed.

Once you have pulled all the levers, leave the Spire of Light from its north western exit. You will now be able to see an apparition standing on the bridge. Approach it to begin the quest.

When you begin the quest by approaching the first apparition, the quest log will update. You must now find five other apparitions withiin the south eastern region of Hallowed Marsh. From the bridge where you found the first, turn left and follow the main road west. After a short distance you will find a stone bridge; cross this and then three others along the road westward. When you have crossed the fourth stone bridge, turn south. You will see a Soroborean Caravanner in the distance. Continue south beyond the caravanner until you see a wooden platform by the coast.

Note: In order to reach this first apparition you will need to have at least four poison antidotes in your inventory, or any other applicable cure for poison. The wooden platform is broken in places, leaving you exposed to rancid water. If you do not cure the poison from the water you will die within minutes.

From the wooden platform continue east along the shore until you see an unlit lamppost. You will need to cross a significant amount of rancid water to reach it, so be sure to have your poison antidote or equivalent ready. Once you reach the shore, approach the apparition to update the quest.

Now go back toward the Soroborean Caravanner and head north from his position. You will reach another two stone bridges going north east, leading to a memorial stone where the third apparition can be found.

For the fourth apparition, go back to the bridge at the Spire of Light. From here, take the road north east until you see the large metal bridge that you constructed from the Ziggurat Passage dungeon (if you haven’t constructed this bridge it will not appear, but you will still see the stone bridge heading west). From the metal bridge, turn west and head over the stone bridge. Keep going over another stone bridge marked by an unlit lamppost. At the end of the bridge you will see the apparition beside a memorial stone.

To reach the fifth and final apparition, you will need to have constructed the metal bridge by completing the Ziggurat Passage dungeon. For a guide to this, see Ash Giants. Once done, go to the middle point between the two metal bridges and face north east. You will see the final apparition standing beside a stone memorial with your reward in its hands; the Light Mender’s Backpack. This backpack provides 75 carry capacity and +10% to lightning damage.

Take your reward from the final apparition to complete the quest.

Once you have taken the reward, the quest will complete.
