As a true son or daughter of Skyrim, few character races make more sense to play than the Nord. The large conflicts of the game, both racial, political, and religious center around external forces challenging venerated and deeply ingrained Nordic traditions.

It’s a fortunate thing, then, that the Nord comes with some decent racial abilities. Their Battle Cry is the uncivilized answer to the Imperial’s Voice of the Emperor, causing fear (even against high level NPCs!) to all who hear it. Of course, this is a double-edged sword, as it’ll also annoy nearby allies, and could land you in trouble with the guards - or turning allies hostile. Use with caution.

Their Resist Frost ability, on the other hand, isn’t a mixed bag. It’s just a brute 50% resistance to the most common element in the game. Fire Resistance was good for the Dunmer, and this ability is even better… although still not quite as good as what the Breton has to offer, given that their resistances cover all elemental damage.
