The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition

Windstad Manor Homestead Options

By
Seren Morgan-Roberts

This page offers a guide on the unique homestead options for Windstad Manor, which is the Homestead built in Hjaalmarch.

All the Homesteads are exactly the same except for their unique exterior features and their unique carriage drivers and bards. In addition, should you become thane of the hold, the respective housecarl will move into your homestead.

Windstad Manor is set in the swampy marshes near Solitude and Morthal.

Windstad Manor’s Unique Exterior Feature - Fish Hatchery

The unique exterior feature of Windstad Manor is a Fish Hatchery, which can be used to mature fish. The hatchery will be initially empty, but the following fish can be added:

  • Abacean Longfin
  • Clam
  • Cyrodilic Spadetail
  • Histcarp
  • River Betty
  • Salmon

The Hatchery is built for 3 Quarried Stone, 3 Sawn Logs and 4 Nails and is found in the waters behind your house.

The Fish Hatchery is a great place to breed your own fish.

Windstad Manor: Sonir

When you purchase a Bard from your Personal Steward for 1,500 Gold, you’ll get a specific bard for each homestead. For Winstad Manor, you’ll be assigned the bard Sonir.

Windstad Manor Carriage Driver: Engar

The Carriage Driver is purchased for 500 Gold. For Windstad Manor, you’ll be assigned Engar. Whilst he never leaves his carriage, he is considered a “resident” of Windstad Manor.

The carriage driver is found near your workbenches outside.
