Great Wirebugs/Jewel Lilies

By
Vincent Lau

This page will help you find all the Great Wirebugs and Jewel Lilies in the Flooded Forest.

What are Great Wirebugs/Jewel Lilies?

Great Wirebugs are bigger versions of wirebugs that can be used to create permanent shortcuts. To use them, you must find a suitable Jewel Lily spot, then place a Great Wirebug from your inventory. You can receive Great Wirebugs from Senior Hunter Hanenaga in Kamura Village. There are also a small number of Great Wirebugs that are already there on the map (usually in mid-air).

Overview

Flooded Forest great wirebug routes.

Due to the simplicity of the Flooded Forest’s landscape, there aren’t as many great wirebug spots compared to other locales. Still, it’s useful to know where they all are.

Main Camp

(1 of 2) Start: Raised ground south of the main camp.

Start: Raised ground south of the main camp. (left), Destination: Highest ledge overlooking main camp from the north. (right)

You can find a jewel lily right off the bat. When you first enter the Flooded Forest, look right and it’s nearby, sitting on the raised ground south from the main camp. Using it will launch you north, towards the highest ledge overlooking the main camp. From here, you can find a secret tunnel that takes you directly to Area 13.

Area 2

(1 of 2) Start: West side of the pyramid, near Area 2 battleground.

Start climbing up the great pyramid while in Area 2. After clambering up several steps, there’s a jewel lily towards the left, when you reach the flat part of the pyramid. It’ll send you flying east, up to the halfway point of the pyramid, saving you from climbing up a long flight of stairs. You’ll land in front of an entrance to one of the pyramid rooms.

Area 2/5

(1 of 2) Start: Near the bottom of a slope between two highlands, where areas 2 and 5 intersect.

You’ll find this jewel lily between areas 4 and 9, along the waterlogged path that’s on ground level. It’s adjacent to the north wall, on a small section of dry land. Using a great wirebug here will also launch you up to the eastern half of Area 9. Useful if you fell down and need to get up quick.

Area 6/7

(1 of 2) Start: Raised ground between areas 6 and 7, near the perimeter of the map.

Area 12

(1 of 2) Start: North side of Area 12.

Start: North side of Area 12. (left), Destination: Ledge near the area 12/13 boundary. (right)

The last jewel lily is near the north side of Area 12. It’ll launch you high up, to a ledge near the area 12/13 boundary. If you turn right, you can wiredash across to an elevated section overlooking Area 7. From there, you can wiredash to the ledges atop the waterfall to reach the isolated highlands north-east from the Area 7 battleground.
