How to defeat Rathalos and Tigrex¶

Rathalos¶

Rathalos is a Flying Wyvern which has been in every Monster Hunter title! This monster has a major weakness to Dragon. Rathalos is a formidable foe–and it’s surely a terror for less experienced hunters.

It shares some moves with Rathian, but is far more aggressive and spends more time in the air. If you were able to defeat Rathian (and you remember to dodge), you should stand a fighting chance against Rathalos. For an in-depth strategy to tackling Rathalos, refer to our separate Rathalos page.

Tigrex¶

Tigrex is a Flying Wyvern type monster which was introduced in Monster Hunter Freedom 2. This monster has a major weakness to Thunder. Tigrex likes to defend itself with a lot of physical attacks, but it will throw rocks at you from time to time. For an in-depth strategy to tackling Tigrex, refer to our separate Tigrex page.

Return to Kamura Village¶

Once you’ve defeated Rathalos and Tigrex , return to Kamura Village and speak with Hinoa to bring this quest to a close.
