How to complete Comeuppance¶
This page is a walkthrough for the Urgent Quest, Comeuppance. It will navigate you through the necessary steps to successfully defeating Magnamalo.
The Comeuppance Quest becomes available when you reach 5* Village Quests

Magnamalo’s Location¶
Once you’ve accepted the quest, be sure to consume some delicious Bunny Dango and equip yourself with a Water based weapon before departing. You’ll be able to find Magnamalo in the following locations.

How to defeat Magnamalo¶
Head to Area 12 to find Magnamalo roaming around.
Watch out for Magnamalos purple fire!
Magnamalo is a Fanged Wyvern typed monster which was introduced in Monster Hunter Rise. This monster has a major weakness to Water. Magnamalo can expel a special type of gas, which it can ignite to create eerie, purple flames. If you come into contact with the purple fire–known as hellfire–you may become inflicted with hellfireblight.
This will cause you to explode after a set amount of time or after taking damage. For an in-depth strategy to tackling Magnamalo, refer to our separate Magnamalo page.
Return to Kamura Village¶
Once you’ve defeated Magnamalo, return to Kamura Village and speak with Hinoa to bring this quest to a close.
