Talk to Nobles of Calradia

Where to Find Nobles

As one of the first main quests in Mount & Blade: Bannerlord, the player isn’t given much of an indication of where to start with this one. You need to speak to various lords and ladies throughout Calradia, but there are so many that you could be wandering for hours in the vast realm and still find that you haven’t made any progress. Although most nobles can tell you something of the tale, below is a list of those which are essential to speak with in order to advance the quest. They are mostly the rulers of each major kingdom, which are the same for everyone at the beginning of any game, and two important figures of different loyalties to their own clans:

  • Garios - Ruler of Western Empire

  • Lucon - Ruler of Northern Empire

  • Monchug - Ruler of Khuzait

  • Unqid - Ruler of Aserai

  • Raganvad - Ruler of Sturgia

  • Rhagaea - Ruler of Southern Empire

  • Derthert - Ruler of Vlandia

  • Caladog - Ruler of Battania

  • Adram - Head of Banu Sarran family

  • Duwain - Member of the Beni Zilal clan

(1 of 4) Use the encyclopedia within the game to search for the leaders of each faction. You will see their most recent location in the top right.

Each of these individuals might be anywhere throughout Calradia at any given time. This makes them extremely difficult to find without the use of the encyclopedia. To use it, just press [N] on your keyboard by default. You can now search the name of each person and discover where they were last seen on the map. This information is based on rumours and is constantly subject to change, so as you make your way to the location specified, be sure to check the encyclopedia for an update on the location. It may specify a specific settlement where an individual was last seen, but it might also state that they were ‘last seen near’ a particular settlement. In this case you may need to roam the lands surrounding the settlement to locate them.

Once you identify the location of the noble from the encyclopedia, you can click on the name of the settlement where they were last seen and then choose to track it. This will show its location at the edge of your map at all times. You can then follow this to the specific point. If you want to untrack the location when you’re done, just click on the circle after its name. Each time you speak with a noble and learn more information, the quest log will update.
