Best Caravan Leaders

The best companions most suited to being caravan leaders are much simpler to identify than governors and party leaders. This is because all of the useful perks for a caravan leader are associated with the Trade skill. Best Caravan Leader Companions

Due to the limited requirements for a good caravan leader, which essentially amount to a companion who has a high base level of the Trade skill, there are only two companions that we would recommend seeking out if you want to use a companion who will yield a good return on your investment in a caravan early on in the game. These are The Spicevendor and The Swift. Aside from these two, the alternative is to use any companion with decent combat skills, which will help to repel raids from bandits and other kingdoms. The Trade skill of your companion will gradually increase as they roam the landscape with the caravan and secure trades between settlements.

Companion Epithet Skill Specializations & Level
The Spicevendor Trade (100), Steward (100)
The Swift Roguery (100), Trade (80), Steward (80)
