Sons of The Forest is a sequel to The Forest and it was finally launched on February 24th 2023. As you may already know if you played the previous game, getting a good supply of food at the start of the game is pretty tricky, so the Animal Traps will give you a good early supply of food. This page will navigate you through the necessary steps to crafting and setting up an Animal Trap.

There are many different ways of preventing hunger in Sons of The Forest, such as Cereal, Chocolate, MREs and 
Canned Food. But, these won’t last very long and you won’t always be guaranteed, so you want to avoid relying on them. Thankfully, Animal Traps are relatively simple to craft, as all you’ll need is a lot of Sticks which can either be found on the floor or by destroying bushes to cause them to fall. However, a stick isn’t always guaranteed to drop, but it seems to drop more often when destroying the red bushes.
How To Craft a Animal Trap¶
Once you’ve acquired the required amount sticks for the trap you want to craft, open up the Guide Book by pressing

For the Fish Trap you’ll want to look for a pool of water where you can see lots of fish swimming about before you can place it. After you’ve placed the trap, press
