Tower of Fantasy Ruin B-01: Walkthrough and Chest Locations

By
Craig Robinson

Tower of Fantasy’s B-01 Ruin is one of the first ruins where you encounter puzzles. Players will need to mix and match pressure plates to icons and open doors to get their hands on treasures and boss battles. Read on and explore our walkthrough for this ruin so you can grab your loot.

Here is a Ruin B-01 walkthrough.

You can locate this ruin on our interactive map here.

Tower of Fantasy Ruin B-01 Walkthrough

Spawn in, walk down the stairs and beat up some baddies. It’s a nice and simple introduction to the ruin. There’s nothing incredibly special here. Attack, dodge theirs and slay them all. Now things get interesting. Walk straight onto to get the first chest. Step on the plate to close the door behind you and open the chest door. Take the chest’s loot and then flip the lever to escape.

Now it’s time to cross the chasm. Run across the spinning pillars, jump across and then get to the platform. There are more Ravager bandits here that you can easily beat up. Two of them are melee, while one is a ranged unit. Attack the ranged one as that forces the melee enemies to run up to you, allowing you to easily set them up into your weapon’s skills. Once the enemies are dead, you will see stairs leading to a larger room. On easy go straight up. But on normal and hard look left to find another room. There’s a chest inside it beside the curved stone stairs.

Match the buttons on the floor with this board to continue with the main mission.

The next room contains a puzzle. Players will need to match the stone tablets on the floor and light them up the same as the pattern on the wall above the stairs. Once that is done, you unlock the next stage of the Ruin. However, a chest is available for all difficulties in another locked room. Go to the locked room on the right, memorize the pattern on the wall, reset the buttons on the floor and then input the code to open the door. You can then walk up the stairs and get the chest. You need to reset the board and input the first puzzle sequence to reopen the main progression door.

Inside the main progression, the room is a few Watcher robots, alongside an armored mech. The watchers are fairly easy to kill, while the mech shield itself does heavy attacks and more. Most of the move attack moves are telegraphed, so you can dodge the move and create the slowing zone around it. Once it is dead, you can make your way to the boss room and fight Vulcan

Vulcan Boss Tactics

Time to fight the floating fire mage.

Vulcan is perhaps one of the easier bosses in the game once you know what to look out for. Most of the main moves that will kill you require you to double dash to avoid taking damage. We highly recommend as a general rule of thumb not to use your dodges for extra weapon damage and save them to avoid key moves instead.

Charged Staff Swing - The boss pulls his staff backwards and charges a heavy swing. Dodge it as it pulls the staff back.

Ground Blast - Vulcan sort of dashes around on the spot, then charges fiery magic at the end of its staff. It then unleashes its energy on the ground and deals massive fire damage in a huge radius around the boss. Try to double-dodge as far away from the boss as you can to avoid taking damage.

Fly By - The boss flies around the battlefield in a single direction several times. The plater takes damage if Vulcan collides with the player model. Once gain, dodge before he connects with your character.

Fireballs - Vulcan aims its left hand at you and fires two cannonballs at your location. Dodge the fireballs before they hit you. Ideally, have two dashes available to counteract each fireball.

Impale Staff - Vulcan twirls into the air and then plants the staff into the ground. The staff then emits waves of fire from it that deal damage. Players need to get as far away from the staff as possible and stay at a distance while the staff remains on the ground. We recommend using a free aim weapon like EM Stars, Nightgale’s Feather or Icewind Arrow to free aim and deal damage against the boss.
