Tower of Fantasy Spacetime Training Ground Joint Operation Guide

By
Craig Robinson

The Spacetime Training Ground is one of the few Joint Operations players can embark on for their daily Vitality missions. Those who do so queue into four-player dungeons, taking on bosses we have seen in the ruins and other areas, for the chance at some sweet XP, loot, and more. Here is a guide for those taking part in Tower of Fantasy’s Spacetime Training Ground Joint Operation Mission.

We guide you through the Tower of Fantasy Spacetime Training Ground Joint Operation mission.

Tower of Fantasy Spacetime Training Ground Guide

The four players start in a space-looking corridor, with three Omnium robots guarding further down. These robots, like any other large model melee unit, are equipped with spinning attacks, melee hits and more. Simply tank and spank these mob, unloading your damage onto them all.

Further down the hallway is a circular room filled with enemies. There are two big guys with big shields, big health bars and more heavy melee attacks. There are also a few other smaller melee units which easily fall over. These elite units are like the big dudes that guard outposts in the open world, so you will be very familiar with how to dodge their moves and belly slams. Once the room is cleared, you can loot the chest in front of the next corridor.

Be careful where you stand.

In the next room, one player needs to speak to an NPC called Lumiere. Skip through the text, and the NPC will activate the terminal for players to progress through the Spacetime Training Ground mission. The next bit is an invisible pathway that leads to the next room. Players must watch floor tiles light up, as you can fall off the map if you’re not careful.

Once you and your posse arrive to the next platform, there is a boss waiting for you. This is Aberrant Franken, which is the same boss from the A-02 Ruin you encountered it in previously.

Aberrant Franken tactics

It is time to take out Frankenstein’s monster, but this time in space.

The tactics of the boss is pretty much similar, with the boss doing the following moves repeatedly:

  • Jump - The boss jumps into the air and then slams down to deal damage. All players need to avoind being in the path of its belly flop, including ranged and melee DPS players.
  • Ground Slam - The boss raises its fists into the air, and then slams them down to the ground, sending out some blue objects in the direction it is facing. This is the easiest move for any player the boss has aggro on to dodge and create a slowing field.
  • Ground Claws - Aberrant Franken raises its hands into the air, with his right claw going red. It then repeatedly claws the ground in front of itself. Dodge the skill to avoid getting hit multiple times and then DPS it while its busy hitting the floor.
  • 180-degree Swipe - Franken swipes its hands in a 180 degree forward facing cone.

On level III onwards, this will typically only target the tank, so don’t worry about it. The Jump, however, can target different players, so be careful. Either way, players can still dodge it and trigger the slowing zone if it is off cooldown.

Once you’re done, you then proceed and loot the chest. Then you’re off to another boss room, this time, fighting Seraph, another Ruin boss from C-01. But to get there, you need to go through a lazer puzzle. Simply avoid oncoming lazers, dash through and then turn the console off on the other side. You then get access to the boss room, and any stragglers can catch up before engaging the boss.

Seraph Boss Tactics

You and your crew take on Seraph in a brand new environment.

Like with Ruin C-01, Seraph has similar tactics. Her core skill set is as follows:

  • Horizontal Spin - Seraph’s blades spin horizontally around her body, and the blades tips points outwards of her position. These then fire red lazers out every 60 degrees around the boss. The party needs to posoition themselves between these blades to avoid spreading damage for the healer to heal through.
  • Aerial Attack - The boss makes the blades turn blue before disappearing. They then follow different memebers of the party’s movement and fire six blasts from above the party memebers. Keep moving to avoid blasts, as getting hit by one stuns you, making the rest of the rounds easier to hit and kill you. Also avoid running into an ally and sharing the damage.
  • Arcing Beams - Seraph’s Blades move the way the boss is facing, and then the six beams activate. They then tend to arc around from side to side. Outrange it if you use ranged weapons or move close to the boss for melee users so you can deal damage to the boss while Serpah is using that skill.
  • Six Shots - There is another move the boss does where the blades move above its head and move outwards slightly. They then fire their beams to try and do a ranged attack against the player. This is another move you an use a dodge on. This move typically targets the tank so don’t worry about it party memebers.
  • Melee Swipe - The boss uses the blades as a melee weapon to swipe at enemies in a 180-degree arc around its body. This is something the entire party needs to avoid, so be careful where all party members are stood.
  • Lazer Wall - When the boss gets to around 3 bars of HP, it will occasionally fire several lazer beams that move throughout the battlefield. This maintains for several laps of the battlefield while the boss uses the rest of its arsenal. Simply slip between the beams or avoid its path to avoid taking unnecessary damage. On the platfrom like this the tank can in theory reposition it so you dont have to think about those lazers, but it’s not entirely necessary.
  • Circle Lazers - The boss can use the blades to spin around itself and draw a perfect circle. Either stand out of it or stand under the boss to avoid the damage depending on your weapons.

Once you defeat her, the Tower of Fantasy Spacetime Training joint operation ends.
