How to Complete the Northwestern Sunken Docarri Ruins in Sea of Stars

By
Jarrod Garripoli

You will come across many locations in Sea of Stars, some of which are completely optional. However, it is those optional places that can help you score free loot that can make your characters more powerful. One of these places is the Sunken Docarri Ruins, of which, there’s a total of four of them. This page will focus on the Northwestern Sunken Docarri Ruins, telling you where it is and how to solve the puzzle within it.

Where to Find the Northwestern Sunken Docarri Ruins

(1 of 3) You will find this beam pedestal right next to the island where you trigger the side quest.

You won’t be able to do this location until right before the final story dungeon. For full details on how to unlock the sunken ruins, visit the How to Find the Sunken Docarri Ruins page. After doing that, you will have to do the solstice light right next to that island. The whirlpool will spawn on the western side of the same island, so use it while on your ship, then enter the ruins under the water.

How to Solve the Northwestern Sunken Docarri Ruins Puzzle

Upon first entering the shrine, you will find that the door is locked, but look closely right before it to find a bell. Interact with the bell to get the prompt to use the Cobalt Hammer, which will open the door. This particular ruin is flooded and you will see a wooden crate floating in the middle of the water. To get started, jump into the water and head to the northwest corner, climbing the ladder there and turning the valve. This lowers the water and allows you to push that wooden crate now.

(1 of 4) This valve will lower and raise the water level in the room.

Do so with the use of your Mistral Bracelet, pushing the crate into the lower left corner, putting it flush against the northern wall there. Return to the valve to raise the water once more, then use that wooden crate to get on top of that ledge. Push the stone block into the water (it will sink), then lower the water again. Push the wooden crate right, down, right, up, then left, which will put it on the button found there. Doing this will lower those water walls and raise the platforms on either side down there.

Push the stone block right, up, then left, and you can now get the wooden crate off of the switch. This will put the stone block within the walls of water, so you will be able to move it around freely now. That is what you will be doing, as you simply want to put it on the same switch. The wooden crate will now need to go into the little pocket on the right side, right below the ledge with the chest. Depending on where you pushed it to get it off the switch, it shouldn’t take too many moves. Once that’s done, raise the water and open that chest for a Sapphire Ingot.

(1 of 5) Push the stone block onto the switch now.

You’re almost done, so lower the water one last time. Push the wooden crate over to the left, then up and it should now be in the upper left area. Note that you can also get it to the upper right, as either one will work. Once you have it flush against the wall there, raise the water, use the crate to climb onto the ledge and grab the Docarri Seal Fragment A. You can now exit and head to the other Docarri Ruins.
