All Chests in Abandoned Wizard's Lab in Sea of Stars

By
Jarrod Garripoli

You will visit many different locations in Sea of Stars, and as you explore these places, you will come across many treasure chests. It’s always a good idea to open the chests that you find, since you can obtain new equipment, or even key items that might be used later. This page will detail the locations of every chest you can find in the Abandoned Wizard’s Lab dungeon. There is a total of six chests to be found here, all of which can be gotten on your first time through the area.

Three of the six chests are mandatory to get through the dungeon, so you won’t be missing them. The Abandoned Wizard’s Lab is a special area, though, as the final two chests can differ in their locations. After obtaining the Red Crystal, the three final rooms can be tackled in any order. No matter the order of the rooms, you will always obtain the rewards in the same order. The first room will unlock the final pedestal in the starting room, the second one will unlock a piece of armor, and the third one will unlock a Rainbow Conch.

Treasure Chest 1

This chest is one of three that is required to finish the dungeon.

The first chest in this dungeon is required in order to progress, so you won’t be able to miss it. In the very first room, with the device, you will see a purple block. Push it all the way to the north, then climb into the ledge above to find the chest on your right. It will contain the Green Crystal.

Treasure Chest 2

The chest with the Blue Crystal is found in the Green Room.

Similar to the first chest, this one is also required to progress through the dungeon, and is found in the Green Room. You will have a series of buttons to press here, with each one changing the layout of the room. Eventually, after hitting the first button a second time, you will unveil the location of the chest. Make your way to it and open the chest for the Blue Crystal.

Treasure Chest 3

Swim underneath the pier here in the Turquoise Room to find a chest with a Rainbow Conch.

Place the Green and Blue Crystals on the device in the starting room to create the Turquoise Room. Upon first entering this area, you will see a ladder leading down into the water. Take this ladder and swim underneath the pier, then look at the left side to see half of a chest sticking out. Open the chest to get a Rainbow Conch.

Treasure Chest 4

After hitting all three buttons and defeating the enemies in the Turquoise Room, you will reveal a chest behind the waterfall.

This chest is also found in the Turquoise Room, and is needed to progress through the dungeon. The main goal of the room is to hit three buttons, which will spawn some enemies. You will need to defeat each set of enemies to make a light appear on a counter. Upon defeating the third set of enemies, the waterfall near the beginning will dissipate, revealing the chest with the Red Crystal.

Treasure Chest 5 and 6

(1 of 2) The final two chests are dependent on how you complete the order of the rooms

The final two chests are dependent on how you complete the order of the rooms (left), so the chests you get might be in different spots. (right)

The final two chests in this dungeon will solely depend in which order you complete the three rooms after obtaining the Red Crystal. The first room you complete after getting that key item will unlock the third pedestal back in the beginning room, allowing you to place all three crystals and go straight to the boss. The second room you do will spawn a chest at the end that will reward you with the Mage-Knight Armor. For the third room, complete the puzzle found within it to get a chest that gives you another Rainbow Conch. For more information on each of those rooms, check out the Abandoned Wizard’s Lab Walkthrough page.
