Bronze Rank: Dweller's Fall Arena - Sea of Stars

By
Jarrod Garripoli

Towards the end of Sea of Stars, you will unlock various side quests that will result in you getting the best equipment for your characters. In the case of B’st, this will involve going to the Dweller’s Fall Arena in the Port Town of Brisk, which is newly opened. This page will get you started on the Dweller’s Fall Arena, which is split into four different sets of battles.

The Dweller’s Fall Arena will pit your party against a series of battles.

How to Unlock the Dweller’s Fall Arena in Sea of Stars

In order to participate in the Dweller’s Fall Arena in Brisk, you will need to be at the end of the main story, right before the final story dungeon. It is then that you’ll be able to do all of the major character side quests. Once you are at that point, go to any campfire and set up camp, then talk to B’st there to get some dialog. He basically needs to do some battling in order to find himself, and heard about an arena in Brisk, so he wants to go there.

The Dweller’s Fall Arena is located in the northern part of Brisk. Basically, head to the merchants near the save point, then take those central stairs and keep heading north, until you reach the fountain. A little north of that, you should see a big doorway on the right side, which is the arena. It should be noted that this isn’t like normal arenas in other games, as you won’t have access to all of your characters in the various battles.

The entrance to the arena is just north of the fountain in Brisk.

In fact, you can only have three participants in each tier, and B’st will pick your party members for you. The only time you’ll have access to your full party is during the Special Rank, at the end. Also, you won’t be able to use items at all throughout the entire arena, including the Special Rank, which makes things a little more challenging. Should you fail a battle, then you will have to start that rank over from the beginning. You won’t have your traditional game over, so you can simply head to the counter and try again right away.

Bronze Rank in the Dweller’s Fall Arena in Sea of Stars

For the first series of battles, you will have B’st (he’s always in it), Valere and Resh’an. This is a great group to have, due to Lunar Shield and Resh’an’s party heal. Unfortunately, you aren’t tested too much, as you will only be dealing with normal enemies throughout the entire three battles.

Clawless Crab Crew

You will be fighting two Croubes and a Training Croube here. Other than the one with the red crystals being able to heal the others, this should be a pretty standard fight. If you see Locks appear, you should automatically go right to trying to break them, though, if possible. Remember that Resh’an has Ebb as a skill, which can break a random Lock (more if timed and boosted).

Bomb Bouncing Brothers

Three Srowers will be your targets in this second fight. Since they are all the same enemy, you shouldn’t need to worry too much, although you will want to stop any special moves here. The reason for that is their special move hits the entire party, so you want to keep the damage to a minimum.

(1 of 3) The Bronze Rank will just be normal enemies across all three battles.

Gulgul Goof Group

The final round in the Bronze Rank is against a Gulgul and two Lonzons. The Lonzons have two hits for their normal attack, and their special is hard-to-time move where they bite you, healing themselves for a little bit (not really anything to worry about). The Gulgul is an oddball, though, as you never really know what it’s going to do. It has access to Thunder, Bubble Drop, an attack where it summons rocks out of the ground, and a normal melee strike. It can also attack one of its own, or simply waste a turn doing a little dance. If you see Sulsul, then the Gulgul will simply vanish and leave the battle altogether.

For winning all three battles, you will have cleared the Bronze Rank and gain access to the Silver Rank. You will additionally be rewarded with a Sapphire Ore.
