One of the best things about Borderlands games, as well as the spin-off, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, is the Legendary items you can find. These items are gold in color and tend to have unique effects that are exclusive to that particular one. This page will concentrate on the Legendary Armor, the Cape of Tides.
Where to Find the Cape of Tides
The Cape of Tides is a part of the Coiled Captors DLC and thus, you will need to purchase this before you gain access to it. It can drop from any enemy in the DLC, as well as from the Chums boss you fight at the end. Once you finished Coiled Captures for the first time, it will be added to the loot pool in the Chaos Chamber, with it possible to get it from the rabbits at the end. This is probably the easiest way to obtain this, since you can simply focus your efforts on the armor rabbit.
Cape of Tides’ Stats and Effects
If you run a build that focuses on Lightning or Frost damage, then the Cape of Tides has the potential to be one of the best Armors in the game. While wearing this Armor, critical hits will have a 25% chance to create a water nova that applies the Soaked status effect to targets for a duration. It will also increase the duration of all Soaked effects by 50%. If you didn’t know, Soaked is a new effect that comes with the DLC, where enemies afflicted with this will take an extra 50% damage from both Lightning and Frost, although they take lesser damage from Fire. There’s not much else to say about this one, other than the Soaked debuff is pretty good.
