One of the best things about Borderlands games, as well as the spin-off, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, is the Legendary items you can find. These items are gold in color and tend to have unique effects that are exclusive to that particular one. This page will concentrate on the Legendary Armor, the Smart Armor.

Where to Find the Smart Armor¶
The Smart Armor can be found as a world drop, meaning it’s possible to get it from any loot source. Outside of that, you can also get it as a dedicated drop from Vorcanar, a boss found at the end of the sidequest, Slayer of Vorcanar. In order to gain access to this sidequest, you will first need to complete Goblins Tired of Force Oppression, which opens up the area of Mount Craw. Note that you need to complete the Slayer of Vorcanar sidequest before you are able to farm the boss. Additionally, if you want to make things a little easier on yourself, head to the Chaos Chamber and farm the loot bunnies at the end (the Armor one) for an easier chance at this item.
Smart Armor’s Stats and Effects¶
The Smart Armor will reduce your total Critical Hit Chance by 50%, but increase your Critical Hit Chance by 50%. That means your critical hits will happen less often, but when they do, they will hit harder. While this may seem like a less than stellar Armor to use, because of the reduce chance, it is a great Armor for the Stabbomancer class. The reason for this is because of the From the Shadows action skill, which guarantees critical hits while it’s active. In fact, the Action Skill will reduce your critical hit damage by 25%, so if you use this Armor in conjunction with it, your critical hits will deal more damage overall.
